Can you choose not to invite your first campsite visitor?

I hope this hasn’t already been posted, if so I’m sorry for the duplicate! I couldn’t find a thread with the same question.

My first campsite visitor is someone I would really rather not have on my island... I know it sounds mean, but is there any way I can get him to leave the campsite without inviting him to live on my island?

He’s been here for 3 days now, and just won’t go away!
When I talked to him, I got two different options and BOTH of them were inviting him to stay!
I reset my game after I talked to him, and now I’m just wondering if there’s any way for me to get him to leave.

I know its early days and it may not be known yet, but any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately the game forces you to invite the first camper. He will not leave until you do. I know how you feel, my first camper was less than satisfactory haha

Aww dang... that sucks I was really hoping there was some way to avoid it. Thank you for the help though!
