Can you invite mystery island villagers to your HHP island?

I can't remember seeing this. I'm island hopping for Sasha and Shino but I'm wondering if in the meantime, I should buy the DLC, start it up, and then invite other nice villagers I see to the island paradise. But, is that possible? If not, can someone just explain how villagers go to the island paradise quick? Thank you!!

The way you have to invite villagers to your HHP island is to give them Souvenir Cookies that is bought in Lottie's Office that is if you have a decent friendship with them and you should see the "Here's a gift" option.

Other then that, villagers are randomly generated on the island in HHP and you can pick out of them who to make a house for.

I do not believe you can invite non-residential villagers from the main game to the island. Because they will just spawn on their own RNG in the DLC.

Also if you're wondering how you get the feature to unlock customizing villager homes on your island we are still looking into that because right now there is no clear answer.

Ya its been brought up to me that since the DLC is its own sperate thing, the invite is just more or less a in-game version of using an amiibo to get the vilalger to spawn.

So they will always have the default dialogue within Happy Home Paradise.
While having their dialogue intact as they appear in the main game.

Guess it was weird to have an entirely different dialogue tree for moved out villagers living in the dlc.

This is already hurting my brain because now I will confuse my villagers on my island to those who I have on the HHP island. I mean I know the ones on my island are real, but the ones on the HHP island are clones.

I find the best way to deal with that is simply don't talk to them on the vacation home.

just go for visits and use reactions and then it'll avoid the "stranger" tone in their dialogue.
