can you scan in amibo in another person's town?

I need more population for teraforming and I'm despereate! anyone know if you can scan amino in someone else's town?

No, you can't. To scan in amiibo cards, you'll need to access the Nook Stop terminal. Only island residents are allowed to use it.

No, unfortunately you can't but I suggest adopting giveaway villagers or picking up random island villagers. That's what I did to get resident services so I could see Isabelle!
