Cannot use Animated Avatar?

Alright I have a question

I got the Avatar Animation item ticked active and then went to add a .gif image to my avatar. It did not animate,
Whats wrong?.

Did you upload it to the site, or link it in from somewhere? (Try using the method you didn't use)

I linked it in, I'll try downloading the image then uploading.

It has to be realllllly small. Like it has to be "icon" sized when you're using google.

Great to see it works! The thing I really recommend though, to make your life much much simpler is to simply convert the animated gif that you would like to use into a .jpg, then upload it to imageshack, photobucket, tumblr, etc. After that, simply get the direct link to the imageshack/etc picture you uploaded (it should show up as a strip of pictures) then get the Direct URL and post it to the Direct URL option when editing your avatar.
