Carnivals

A idea that I think would be cool is to maybe have carnivals/fairs in the new game had features like this. I'm not sure if it popped up in any previous versions. But maybe they could have rides and extra little mini games. With the mini games you could win prizes and perhaps bells? They would be there for one weekend every few months. I just think this would be a cool little concept.

I could totally get on board with this idea.
I love carnivals, especially carnival games. I could see tons of furniture that could be inspired by a carnival theme!
A ferris wheel would be amazing, especially with seats for two. So you could ride with a villager or with a visitor *0*

I can imagine a summer carnival, like ones based off Japanese ones, and it would take place in another new area. Japanese festivals are like stalls (kinda like ours minus the rides) i think it would be a good idea

Yesss! I think this sort of event would happen at like 8PM and last until the early morning. Maybe every few months?

i really love pav?, so i would like to see some other events have NPCs with that same flamboyant and energetic personality.

That would be amazing. I love the idea of carnival mini games where you can earn tickets/bells or even items. I hope these reflect international festivities like new leaf, but with more substance than just collecting feathers/lollipops or whatever.

OMG, I want this very badly. I'm thinking of all the games of chance we could play to win special items. Redd could be there trying to rip us all off. The Nooklings would be so cute at the cotton candy stand! I have heart eyes thinking about this.

I was thinking of this. Maybe we could have that Amiibo Festival place in AC Switch, and we can play minigames on it just like we can with Tours and with others as well.

If I could have an ideal carnival in the game, here's what I would had put in...

* Games: Or course. Play games to win many a furniture object, or even a rare hat or accessory. Maybe they're rare? Maybe it's a plushie version of Isabelle or Tom Nook? Probably it's a toy goldfish, perhaps? Maybe even a game console?

* Face Painting: Basically, have your face design with a wacky design. Want a furniture leaf on the side of your face? Consider it done. A Pitfall? Go for it. Heck, even go for both sides of your face if you desire! You can also go for a full face design. It won't wash away unless you take a dive or if you rub it off via either a wet wipe or tapping on a mirror somewhere and rubbing it off with a stylus. Cute your mayor even further with an awesome face paint design!

* Hats, Masks, Accessories, Back Items, etc: Want something new to decorate your head with? Then browse the various rare hats and caps they've got. Painting your face ain't your thing? Then go for a mask, instead! They'll probably be rare, but not like the prize hats which are more rare. They may even sell balloons, fans, pinwheels...

* Fireworks: Self-Explanatory. We all seen the sky blow up colorfully by now.

There may also be some more ideas, such as guessing how many jellybeans are in a jar, certain kinds of raffles...
