Did anyone pick up this game (either along with the pre-order bonus or just standalone)? I got the game and the pre-order goodies in the mail yesterday, and I must say, it is one of the best singleplayer experiences on the DS. The game is just amazing, but the Wi-Fi mode is KIND OF lacking, but the flaws you can overlook, to be truthful. The game's meat and potatoes is the singleplayer, so you can't really complain if an add-on turns out so-so. Ah well.

The pre-order goodies are also pretty sweet; I especially like the art book!

Any of you got the game?

not that one, but i had some GBA one.
a friend borrowed it and never returned it.
i'll hve to bug him for it back!! the swine

Meat...and potatoes. I'll have to just overlook that. <.<;

I've seen it, but could never really get into the game.

That's just an expression, but okay.

:p

Hmm, that's too bad. It's pretty awesome...

Castelvania, its a franchise about vampires, right?

I didn't get Portrait of Ruin, only because I've never played any other Castlevania game..

I know that, it just sounds weird. Meat and potatoes...

It looks really interesting, but it also looks really hard.

Yeah, it is, and you don't really need any history with Castlevania to enjoy this game. I've only played three and owned two Castlevania games, and I still enjoy Portrait of Ruin a LOT.

I looked at it. I didnt get the thing....It seemed wierd....
It isn't, believe me. The game isn't that hard, either... It's stupendous.

There's something funny I noticed, though... Both this game and Fire Emblem for GCN have the same initials for the sub-name... PoR. No wonder I love both games. <3

I wanted it, but I'm saving for personal things, and had no money to blow.
Its a shame, because it looks amazing, I enjoyed DoS immensly, and the pre-order bonus was also cool. Hopefully, someone is selling the pre-order stuff on Ebay. I need to get my hands on that art book...

Well, I'm at the mid-point of the game, and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The game is very lengthy... Easily the longest portable Castlevania game ever made.
