90% of the anime nowadays are meh, you really need to look around to find a good one

It's different for certain genres. Most romance anime in my opinion is crap, and it's really hard to find some good ones. Lately though, I've been finding some good fantasy/ horror anime.
It's different for everyone though. I like anime that delivers a strong message.
