It had been a quiet and peaceful day in the forest, where a young elf, aged 17, Aisuna had been. The girl was sitting on a stump with many names carved into it, including her own. She had glasses, but managed to pull it off, light freckles, outstanding eyes you feel like you'd get lost in, for they are a shade of blue as deep as the ocean. The elf had the most beautiful hair you've ever seen, silver-lilac with with black ribbon tied around bits of it. It looked almost metallic. She had always been shy, but much more once you really get to know her. Aisuna was easy-going. Sometimes a bit too much, with a touch of optimism.
"Wouldn't it be great," the girl began, wide smile on her face,"To see creatures that no one has ever seen?" Many of the animals in the forest had chittered with agreement. She had a very rare gift, spoken in ancient tales of lore even. Aisuna and very few others in the past, could communicate with animals. "Unicorns, dragons, gryphons, anything!" Aisuna exclaimed. "I could be in legends, ai could be famous, known by the world! Really though, just-" The girl was cut off by rustling in the distance. "Ugghh," she groaned, so she decided to go take a look. She bumped into the other one. It was her best friend, Luka.
"Hello Luka, what brings you here?" Aisuna asked.
"Your mother sent me. She thinks you've been out too long. I've been looking for you for like..2 hours, Aisuna!" Luka groaned.
"Sorry, Luka..I guess I just got a tad distracted," Aisuna apologized. "I suppose we should go now, correct?"
"I guess so! Hey..what were you talking about a minute ago? About seeing creatures like gryphons and unicorns?" Luka questioned, very eager to know.
"Well..exactly what it sounded like!" Aisuna replied. "I've always wanted to see them..creatures, all of the sort! Ones no one has seen..ever!" She beamed.
"I see...you know, there's a grand library about a week away off..it may give you clues of where to look, you know! Plus, I wouldn't mind sharing my art and music along the way.." Luka suggested to her friend. "Is that so..? I'll think about it, hard to make that kind of desicion right on the spot, you know," Aisuna replied.
"No problem! Okay then, like I said, shall we be off?" Luka repeated. Aisuna nodded with agreement and headed off with her best friend. As the two departed from the forest, she thought of the journey she has set in front of herself. The adventure. To make history.
The two girls arrived at Aisuna's home, a medium-sized brick house, with bushes, a small garden, and an apple tree. The two walked into Aisuna's home. "Hello, mother, we're back!" Aisuna announced.
"Finally! I was worried sick, my sweet little angel. Don't stay out so late!" Her mother, Alice, yelled, running down the stairs. He grabbed Aisuna and gave her a hug.
"Ehh..sorry! I'm not that little anymore, you know.." She replied, voice muffled by her mother's shirt. "Mmm..something smells good! Dinner, I presume?" Aisuna asked, sniffing the air.
Alice pulled away fromher daughter. "Yes, I know. And yes, that is dinner. Roast beef and veggies. Oh, I forgot to mention, one of your friends are here. Miki I believe it it," Aisuna's mother added.
"Miki? Just to let you know..she's not-" Aisuna was cut off by another pair of feet coming down the stairs.
It was Miki. She had cotton candy- pink hair and light blue eyes. He hair was in tight curls with a headband to hold some of her hair together. She was wearing a beige jacket and a red and black plaid skirt."Ah, so I did hear someone say my name. Hella Aisuna, Luka. I came by to ask for your help on something. Honestly, I never thought I'd have to come to you two for help," Miki chuckled.
"Which is..?" Both girls asked at once.
"I'd rather tell you in private," Miki told the two.
"Fine by me," Alice replied to Miki.
The three girls, Luka, Aisuna, and Miki headed up the stairs into the guest room. It had clothes and items in it. "What's this?" Aisuna demanded.
"I'm staying here, but not for too long thank goodness. But that's not what I need your help for," Miki stated, sitting down on the bed. "Can you promise to keep this a secret?" She asked.
The two were confused. Miki had always been a show-off, stuck-up, and popular. "Why turn to us?" They wondered. "I suppose so," the two promised.
Miki took a deep breath. "I'm adopted. I want my original parents back. But..they died. So listen, this here is the really big secret you need to keep, okay?" Miki asked. The two nodded in agreement. Miki smiled. "I plan to bring them back..with magic. I've been studying from books in the abandoned library in my mansion on magic. I read of a sorcerer who has passed away, but he has created a successful ressurection spell. The page with the spell has been torn out. I hear or a library a while off containing that very book. I was wondering if you two..might wish to aid me on my journey?" Miki told the two, blushing, for she had never been all that open.
"Well..that was a bit to take in, but why us?" Aisuna asked
"Everyone else, they just abandoned me."
"Oh well..sorry to hear that, really. Wait, me and Aisuna are heading to that library ourselves, I think. In Ailanka, I assume?" Luka commented. "What's your proof of magic anyways?"
"I said I'd think about it, Luka. But yeah, I've decided I'd love to," Aisuna decided.
"Yes, in Ailanka. Good to hear, Aisuna," Miki noted. "Ah, yes.." She put our her arm and focused. She formed an ice statue before the three. The oher two girls were shocked. "Still don't believe me?" She asked, with a grin. "Look out the window." All three girls did, and Miki put her arm near the window and a second apple tree grew outside.
"I want apple pie now," Aisuna giggled.
"Maybe your mother is already making dessert to welcome me. Again, don't worry it's only two weeks or so. My parents who adopted me are both on business trips," Miki added, walking out of the room down the stairs. Luka and Aisuna followed, shutting the door.
"Hello girls, how was your little chat?" She questioned. "Dinner is done, by the way, I'm currently making an apple pie. It's funny, an apple tree randomly grew outside.." Alice added.
"Perfectly fine," all three girls stated at once.
Aisuna's mother giggled, then handed them each a plate. "Serve yourself, I made plently, now with our new guest. Say, Luka, you should head back to your home when you finish eating," She informed. "Or, perhaps call your father and see if you can stay the night. One big slumber party!" She suggested. "I remember those days.." Alice trailed off. The three grabbed a plate each, and began to pile on their food.
"Ew, where's James when you need him?" Miki muttered to herself, referring to her butler, while getting a bit of sauce on her hand. The three finished preparing their plate and sat down. Miki couldn't help but look around or fidget, being unfamiliar with her surroundings. Luka noticed Miki being uncomfortable.
"Are you okay, Miki?" Luka asked.
"Yes, perfectly fine. Just a bit uncomfortable, not being used to my surroundings and all. I haven't been to someone else's home in quite some time," she answered. Luka nodded in understandment and began to eat. Aisuna was already eating and looked up at Miki. The three finished eating and set their dishes in the sink.
"15 more minutes until the pie is ready..if you like it piping hot, as I do," Aisuna's mom announced.
"I'm a bit tired, the current time as is is a bit later than my usual bedtime," Miki said, saying with her eye to Aisuna and Luka
