Good evening, friend.

I've been admiring the stars tonight. I hope you have done the same - otherwise it would be a shame to not be able to take in all of its glory.

Perhaps you could conjure colours up, in a way that would match the beauty of the yonder?

As I have said many times before, that each constellation has its own story. In this starry night, there will be many, many stories, hootie-toot!

I wish you would tell me yours, my friend!

✨ How it Works ✨

Are you perhaps new to this event? Fret not, it is rather straightforward!

This event is all about colouring. Every week, a new lineart will be posted and you may colour it using any medium you wish. This time, there will be an additional little fun twist on the challenges as well. Each round is due on each following week.

Completing them will give you 5 tickets each. To make it even more cosmically magical, for every single round we will also award the elusive animated Shooting Star collectible to three entries we love the most!!!

✨ The Weekly Challenges ✨

August 19th:
Tonight is the night

Where wonders cross the yonder

Celeste, Molly, and Sherb were having a slumber party in the owl's observatory. While they were taking a close look at a star shard, its friends decided to pay it a visit from a far, far away place. A sea of stars caught their attention!

"Hootie-toot!" Celeste exclaimed. "That constellation looks familiar... but dear me, I could't remember what it is called..."

Could you connect the dots and help them to to pick their star gazing tool, as well as to identify what constellation was it?

Once you have done so, give them some colours in order to enjoy the true beauty of this night!

August 26th:
Hey, what's buzzin' people?

I'm feeling real groovy nowadays and I want to share my groove to all of you. It's as simple as that.

For this occasion, though, I have met some cool cat. Real cool cat. And they're are inviting me for a jamming session inside the observatory's indoor garden.

I also invited a new friend from far, far away.

Huh, you can't see 'im? Look, he just arrived, there up in the skies. I think you can see his outlines at the moment. Groovy, huh?

September 2nd:

✨ The Final Challenge is here!!! ✨

Good evening, friends.

I have had fun with you all. Between all those fun activities, stargazing, you name it! And there was even a K.K. concert thrown in. But of course, the best of all were all those morning where we could talk our beaks off, hootie-toot!

Let me tell you one last thing, however. This morning a sorcerer came to my observatory. He told me that he came from inside a fountain, and -believe it or not- he had used his magic powers to summon new constellations! From another world! Can you believe it?!

How curious. For tonight's slumber party, how about we scour the night and see the new constellations?

This may be our last slumber party for a while, but fret not. I shall await for your visit again someday, here inside my observatory.

✨ Rules ✨

  • One entry for each line art per person. No collaboration please.
  • You may not change your entries after submitting, so make sure you're happy with your coloured pieces before submitting!
  • You may colour the line arts either digitally or using traditional medias of your choice. If you plan to colour the line arts traditionally, you are more than welcome to print the image.
  • Minor modifications to the line arts such as colouring the lines is allowed. However, do not make major changes like redrawing Isabelle into another character. If you're unsure about something, please post your question in this thread and I'll answer as soon as possible.
  • Please be respectful towards each other and refrain from putting down any particular technique and/or medium used.
  • Although this goes without saying, please do put some effort into your entry. If we feel your entry lacks effort, or has just been submitted as a joke, then it won't be accepted.

✨ How to Submit ✨

  • After you've finished colouring the lineart, upload it on an image hosting site such as imgur.

ooo this is so cute! I feel like I can't do this justice but im going to try anyways orz

Beautiful! I will definitely need to colour this traditionally. Can I take a picture with my phone if I can get the image clear? My scanner is such a pain to use.

It always amazes me how people create(?) visual art 😅 The line art is stunning! and I love the addition of a connect the dots

Aw thank you, you guys are too kind!! This was a blast to draw haha, I'm so excited to see what everyone comes up with! 🤩

Yes of course, as long as the image is clear I don't see an issue with photo submission :D

Is it possible to get a psd file of the above?

Also, I adore the drawing. <3

Is the "as well as to identify what constellation was it" part rhetorical, or do you actually want us to submit our guess somewhere if we know it?

I can upload it to my drive, but it's basically just a flat layer and the resolution is the same as above, so there would be no difference with the png file haha. Let me know if you still want it though!

And thank you!!

Haha no need to, it's rhetorical :p It should be fairly obvious once you connect the dots... or at least I hope so. Making connect the dots is trickier than I thought it'd be 😳

I would still love it, thank you laudine. ❤❤❤❤❤
