...I’m devastated. Just absolutely gutted. No words. Just all the love I can give to his family and friends.

Wakanda Forever.

I am devastated. I’ve been crying on and off since I found out. I even did a prayer memorial for him.

I’m an actual mess right now.

This is such a sweet gesture. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I just realized that I’ve been wearing a black panther t-shirt all night. I just grabbed one randomly and, by pure coincidence, that happened to be the one one I was wearing when I heard this awful news. :((((((((((((((((

Dang, I watched Black Panther not even that long ago and now this happens. First Kobe Bryant and now Chadwick Boseman. Why oh why must 2020 keep doing this to us?

May he Rest In Peace. 😔

Thank you... I'm a huge Marvel fan and Chadwick fan as well, and I just couldn't... not do anything in his memory, you know? Soo, I did a memorial for him and sat there the whole time until the incense burned out. This hit me a lot harder than Stan Lee's passing. I want to think it's because I'm much more familiar with Chadwick and his character meant A LOT to me. Plus, he was so young. It hurts.

I was going to wear my Black Panther shirt (the one in the photo) today, but I decided not to for some reason... it really hurts ;w;

My husband just told me about this and I was shocked. I can't say I was a huge fan as I haven't seen much of his work, but I really enjoyed his performance as Black Panther. I feel so sorry for his family. 😟

Oh, I saw that he had passed in a Tumblr post, but there was nothing saying why/how. My first thought was that he was a year younger than my baby brother.

I haven't seen the Marvel movies, but I knew who he was. I'm so sorry to hear this and send my thoughts to his family.

I'm absolutely heartbroken. Celebrity deaths don't typically affect me much but he was so young, talented, and genuinely important. My dad's a black man who's only a few years older than him (by like... 3-4), and he loves Black Panther, its insanely important to him.

Looking into his other roles it was clear to see that he was still young into his career. When it finally picked up speed he really was able to show his talent.

Wakanda Forever.

Very unexpected but also heart breaking. There's been a lot of deaths this year and this one is definetely a huge loss. Rest easy Chadwick Boseman.

Today is Michael Jackson's 62nd birthday and Chadwick Boseman moved on today. Two incredible legends the future generations will grow up to know. Love forever💕

I remember just hearing about it last night and it was unbelievable for a few minutes because of how sudden it is. I wish for the best for his family because this is extremely devastating.

I'm shocked to hear he passed away. It looked like Chadwick was in good health but that wasn't the case, unfortunately... Life can be unpredictable, so live your life to the fullest and spend time with your loved ones as much as possible before one leaves this world...

Couldn't believe it when I woke up to the news this morning. RIP. Props to his team for keeping it private over the years, and for him to give us amazing movies during his time.

Very sad to hear! Had no idea he was so sick. The fact that he battled this for four years meant he had it even while filming Black Panther. Amazing to think about now when we consider that movie.

Everything I read about him indicates he was a class act. I know Hollywood has its share of problems (Weinstein etc.), and we've all probably heard endless rants about the movie industry over the years, but Boseman was a man of quiet faith whose final texts included a reminder to appreciate the beauty of creation: https://pagesix.com/2020/08/29/josh...sage-sent-from-late-co-star-chadwick-boseman/

A good example for any of us to follow in these divided times.

i found out as soon as i woke up and i’m gutted over this. the fact that he was able to do and accomplish everything that he did whilst dealing with the pain and burden that is cancer and all of the methods to try and cure it... i’m so sad for him, his family and everybody who loved him along with the talent and kindred soul that has been lost but at the same time, i am in absolute awe of his strength. he really was a real-life superhero💔

so much tragedy has struck this year but i really want to focus on the impact that he made. he made the black community feel so seen and inspired and for perhaps the first time, children poc got to see him on the screen and finally got to see somebody that looks like them, something that sadly isn’t all that common, even after all these years. but yet, he changed the game so much with his talent and his charisma and he truly was amazing.

but talent aside, no 43 year old should be dying and i am so, so sad for him; sad for all the fear and pain that he must’ve felt and sad for all of the things that he’ll never get to see or accomplish. i just genuinely hope he knew how amazing he was and how big of an impact he made; i hope he knew just how grateful the world was for him and how absolutely incredible he was.

rest in power, chadwick </3

While many came to know Chadwick Boseman as King T'Challa and current Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War then Black Panther, it was his performances in 42 that deserve accolades and recognitions. He never showed the public that he was suffering inside and battling cancer, always had a smile on his face, and doing what he knew best, making movie characters come to life. A role model and a fighter that deserves to be revered and followed, he was taken away from us too early and I hope his family will get through these difficult times and know that he was loved by many. Rest in peace, Chadwick!

The good ones are always taken away from us early. May they all rest in peace. Kobe Bryant was a legend among the basketball community both in and out of the court. Chadwick Boseman has always put his best foot forward and gave everything in his performances on stage and was a class act off the stage. They both were fighters, Kobe Bryant against pain and injuries, and Chadwick Boseman against cancer. We lost two great souls 😔

RIP. I haven't seen his works but I can tell he was a role model to many and no one should experience any kind of cancer. And so many left us already in 2020, not only covid-19 but other things like this too. :(

May he rest in peace :( It's such a shame, but it is so true that the good die young. He was truly a role model for many kids who rarely get someone of their own skin tone to look up to.

I agree with @Mayor Ng that 42 is also well worth watching, especially considering the MLB just celebrated Jackie over this weekend. One modern-day hero starring as a hero from recent history.
