I took on a little project tonight because I was getting sick of my plain old Switch. I bought these shells a week ago and just got around to doing them. I realllyyy liked how it turned out so I figured I’d share it with everyone. Although, if you would consider doing this I’d highly recommend against it lol. It’s a huge pain in the ass and Nintendo’s screws strip sooooo easily. Everything in the is so tiny and fragile too, I got so frustrated doing it I started crying because I thought I broke one of the latches for the ribbon cables lmao. But it was worth it! Anyways, here’s a picture of the front and back.

I was going to do this but I came to my senses and ordered vinyl skins instead lol I wish I was as brave as you. Kudos for actually completing the project. How difficult was replacing the back of the console? Mine is all worn out from my hands touching it :/

Wow that looks really neat! I always liked the clear covers that let you see what makes the controllers work. I can see how it would be evil though. I had trouble replacing a joystick on a Gamecube controller and the Switch controllers are way smaller.

Honestly the back of the console was the hardest part of the teardown. Those screws were in incredibly tight and I stripped a good majority of them. I almost had to buy replacement screws but thankfully with the help of a rubber band I was able to get them into the new case.

The clear covers are my favorite. I was going to get the same blue case for the back of my Switch as well, but you can't even see the inner wiring and whatnot since it's all covered with a metal plate lol

That's extremely impressive! I really like the white on the back, it makes the switch logo and text stand out. It really matches the clear blue joycons too and reminds me of an iceberg in some ice cold water ^-^

I just finished putting some decals/stickers on my switch and I'm more then happy with the end result, I imagine you would (and should) be so proud of how you've customised your switch.

I saw the decals you put on! Honestly the Zen theme just looks so nice and natural with the Switch. It’s not too flashy or showy which I like. I was considering doing decals too, and honestly still might do a blue themed one for the back, but I just HAD to have the clear joy-cons lol

Yeah I agree! I like my Zen theme mainly because the black of the decal blends in with the black console, so it looks minimalistic. I think having a blue themed back would looks really neat, but I think it looks more then fine as is ^-^

That's pretty awesome.

Minor tangent, it's good to see you have the binding of issac ^-^. I've almost 100%'d after birth plus on my pc!
