What part of the Nintendo Switch do you find to be the most satisfactory?

Oh, yeah! I forgot to mention one other thing I thought was great about the Switch generation. It's...pretty obvious by now. I can't even imagine how the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC would've gone for me if Kieran and Carmine (especially Kieran) didn't exist...

The eShop often having sales for big name games for a huge discount. I got Saints Row IV for under $5 and Yooka Laylee for $3. I got most of my digital games because they were on sale.

That the original Switch can be both handheld and docked.

The overall texture and shape of the Switch Lite. Had the dockable Switch been as comfortable and satisfying to hold as the Lite model it would have been the perfect console.

I got Stardew Valley when it was on sale and I got a lot of fun hours put into it. There's so much shovelware on the Switch eshop it's insane, but if you're willing to wade through all of that you definitely can find some fun games. I wouldn't have found SDV if I hadn't taken 10-15 minutes scrolling through the shop.

Mario Rabbids (the 1st one) can be found on the Eshop for like dollars when its on sale. It's worth a try. I found it a lot of fun.

I just got Assassin’s Creed Enzo Collection for $16. I only need to get ACIII to complete the collection. I got the other games whenever they went on sale. Also got a majority of the Lego games because of eShop sales.

Very nice! Is ACIII the one where it's based on the American Revolutionary War? I always wanted to see how that one held up with the advance of tech. It seemed unfitting when the other games were based during pre-gun era. For lack of a better word lol.

I am not sure. I’m not very familiar with the plots of the games in the series.

The Switch OLED screen looks absolutely beautiful. The colors are so vibrant and the contrast is excellent. When I’m playing something with nice graphics like Hades or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe I’m always blown away.

The selection of games to choose from, old and new, is really impressive. If there’s a game genre someone likes there’s probably a bunch of Switch games available for it. Even more niche genres like visual novels and JRPGs have tons of games on the system.

I’m impressed that there are even games that focus on the LGBTQ community on the Switch and you can get them from the eShop.

I like the ability to use micro SD cards and how you can use the larger size cards to store digital games that have a lot of data and switch out cards that have other games you e downloaded without deleting anything. The DSi Ware was flawed in this sense.

yes! cuz my cousin has a DS and I play on it but when I take out the game cards the screen freezes and I have to turn it off then on again.

Love seeing handheld consoles being capable of playing AAA games. I'm most happy with the touchscreen ability though.

motion control for splatoon!!! i saw an article this year about how game-changing motion control is for FPS games, and it's funny because i keep thinking splatoon had motion control so many years ago...... kinda crazy how motion control still isn't being implemented in more PC games when it can definitely make gameplay easier and more fun imo.

well i read a little more into why people hated motion control, and im still not convinced it's bad. it just needs to be implemented a lot better in games for proper experience. it's definitely a large learning curve to use motion control, but i promise it's so worth it (at least in splatoon) and any other FPS game isn't as fun motion-wise as splatoon due to motion control. hopefully in the future we get better motion control implementation for other FPS games so people can see that it's less "gimmicky" and more intuitive.

i also like the handheld and docking feature nods nods

also like how often the eshop goes on sale (mostly for digital copies)

I haven't owned as many consoles as maybe some others have, but I honestly love the Switch so much.

  • I love playing it handheld, but I really appreciate that I can play it either handheld or on my TV
  • I love the rectangle shape of it, and the size of the handheld screen
  • I love being able to change Joy-Con colours
  • I love the satisfying clicking noise of putting the Joy-Cons in, lol
  • For games, I've really enjoyed Pokémon Sword/Shield, AC:NH, SMPJ, and many more
  • I like redeeming points for the customisable profile pictures
  • I really like the accessory options that have come with it/with games, like the control holders to put the Joy-Cons in, the wrist strap, the Ring-Con, the leg strap. I've found them all really good
I'm sure there's many more things to love, but that's what I can think of off the top of my head!

Actually, Chris above mentioned the feel and comfort of the Switch Lite compared to the Switch. I first had a Switch Lite, and then got a Switch, and I have to say I love the weight that comes with the Switch, and I find it the more satisfying to hold! That's just me!
