Is there a way to check how many people have visited your dream town without updating the town? because my town took a thousand hours and a million bells and its DONE, I don't wanna update it again, I'm making a new town now. But I'd like to know how many people enjoyed my horror town while I make a nice town.

There may be, but as far as I know there isn't.

I think if you go and just talk to Luna, without going on the bed, she'll tell you how many people have visited your town. But I'm not completely sure.

When you talk to Luna without dreaming or updating, she'll tell you the last person to visit. When you update, she'll tell you the total number of visitors.
