Not going to lie, I want to brown nose my new boss without going overboard, not sure what they like. What brand of chocolate would you want to be given? I have heard people say Hershey's is crap. Is there another above average brand I'm not aware of?

I always love receiving Lindor truffles! They come already in a festive but fancy-ish bag thats ready to be gifted. I've never been a huge fan of Ghirardelli, something about their chocolate just never tasted like it would be worth the price to me. Chocolate can kind of be like wine sometimes, half of it tastes the same. Can't go wrong with a Godiva sampler either! Whitman's samplers and Russell Stovers used to be top tier drug store brands but they're waxy so I'd stay away from those.

Lindor truffles are probably the best for the holiday season since they come individually wrapped and they have the assorted mix. Especially if you don't know what kind of chocolate your boss likes best. So any assorted mixed of dark, milk, or white chocolate would be good.

I would also avoid Nestle chocolate or brands owned by Nestle for ethically and environmental reasons.

For mass produced chocolate I think Hershey's is decent but as a gift I'd like to get anything made by Lindt.Ghiradelli is god too but I think Lindt is better overall.

Absolutely for the love of all things sweet, do NOT do Hershey's. European chocolate is like 100000 times smoother and richer!

I love the flavor and texture of Lindt/Lindor out of the options you gave in the poll. I feel like Lindt chocolate bars remain snappy while still being incredibly smooth and melty. The Lindor truffles are so good too. The outside is usually a slightly firmer, snappier chocolate while the inside is super creamy and melty. You can never go wrong with Lindor Truffles, and I think I've seen them sell variety packs with white, milk, and dark chocolate truffles.

Godiva's choclate is alright but the packaging is really elegant. I always appreciated getting a Godiva box set. Ghiradelli's chocolate quality is similar to Godiva, in my opinion, but the packaging isn't super special.

I tend to enjoy dark chocolate or chocolate that isn't as sweet as I'm not a big chocolate/sweets person anymore (used to be when I was younger). I find most American chocolate too sweet for me and prefer products from the UK or Japan as they're much better tasting to me, personally. See's Candy chocolates are pretty good, too.

From those options, I would say Ghirardelli's dark and milk choco caramel squares (but it's been a while that those are hard to find where I live) and Lindt's truffles 💖

One popular brand of 'gifting chocolate' where I live is merci. Depending on your location, department stores typically carry them. They have different flavors (dark chocolate, milk chocolate, coffee and cream, marzipan, etc.), and you can create a custom cover on their website to add to the box if you'd like! I've heard mixed things, but the packaging is nice, they're reasonably priced, and I've tried the dark blue one and enjoyed it.

Lindt chocolate is also decent and they have variety packs - great if your recipient's tastes are unknown! I normally add one of their gift packs to my dad's gift. If I were to receive a gift like this, I'd prefer a selection of dark chocolate truffles from a local shop. Not sure what you have in your area, but would recommend giving it a search!

Lol theres no Hershey, Cadbury, Gertude Hawk, or Dove I guess.

I love all chocolate but Gertude Hawk and Hershey are my fav.

I think any of the options you have listed all sound like decent gifts. I would only like to add that I do personally love some Ferrero Rochers at Christmas time 😇 and they often do nice box sets for Christmas as well (in the shape of Christmas trees, etc.)

I’d also agree with Lindt! nice assortment of chocolates and they’re pretty tasty :) Hershey’s (imo) doesn’t really taste like true chocolate and it’s more of a chocolate candy if anything. It’s a bit “low tier” on the chocolate ranking in my eyes

also like the above commenter mentioned, Ferrero rocher is really nice for gifting but they are a bit pricey

I would personally say lindor, they're my favourite fancy chocolates that I steal from my parents whenever they've got them because I'm too poor to buy them regularly myself haha

Lindt/Lindor truffles are delicious, I'd definitely appreciate being given them as a gift!

Hershey's is generally not very popular and often said to taste like vomit in my country, I wouldn't recommend giving it to your boss! American chocolate in general is apparently not as good as European, so I'd suggest going for a European brand.

Lindt is so good! :) My sister recently bought a box of truffles from their website and you can pick out what flavors you want and some are seasonal. I love the Snickerdoodle, Peppermint Cookie, and Dulce De Leche flavors the best. <3

I guess it depends on your price point and if the exterior of the chocolate package matters. Louis Sherry is very beautiful, rich chocolate but very pricey. I'm thinking of buying one for my mom but the shipping hurts me.

I like Ghirardelli or Godiva from the choices.

My favorite type of chocolate of this nature would probably be Ferrero Rocher; if this even counts since it’s not on the poll. Poll choice wise I’d probably go with Lindor/Lindt (variety pack is always a good choice), not really a fan of the other two as much.

There's a Godiva store by my sister, and their hot chocolate is the best thing I've ever had.

But I voted all 3 cause I'm also a choc-aholic 🤪

I am in love with Ghirardelli's Peppermint Bark personally, but I wouldn't turn down any of those brands. I think they're all really good. If you don't know what kind of chocolate your boss likes, though, it's probably best to go with one where you can get a nice assortment.
