christmas tree question

i dont remember which animal crossing game this came from *i think it was new leaf but could have been wild world* where, during christmas nintendo would send users a christmas tree via the mail.
in horizons i dont believe they do that SO! i was wondering if there Is a special christmas tree that they give you, or that you can buy for your homes interior OR if its all just the normal recipe christmas trees that they have?

i remember that, too — afraid i don’t remember which game it was either, though haha. nintendo doesn’t send you a christmas tree (or anything) for christmas in this game, nor is there any christmas tree that you can buy.

the only christmas/festive trees in this game are the festive tree, big festive tree, ornament tree, tabletop festive tree and illuminated tree, and they’re all diy items.

Yeah,Nintendo sent the white festive tree to New Leaf players in North America in December of 2016 via SpotPass.
