Cilantro: Delicious or soapy??

I have that genetic thing where cilantro tastes like soap to me, so I'm curious to see how many people here have it too. Also, if you can actually taste it do you like it? what's your Cilantro opinion???

i don't think it tastes like soap! i love the smell too, which apparently some people can't stand? it always gives off such a refreshing, clean scent. sounds like how you'd describe soap now that i've typed that out, but it's definitely herby.

I love the smell too, when I break off the stems at the bottom mmmm smells so good

I don't LIKE cilantro, but I've never noticed it tasting like soap.

I think Pepsi tastes has an aftertaste like dishwasher detergent, but that's a whole other story...

Oh yeah, I heard that thing about how cilantro tastes like soap to some.
It's delicious! It adds flavor to any stew or soup.

I don't think it tastes like soap, I put some in Asian or Mexicain dish.
The smell sometimes reminds me of the fake snow in spray.

I thought I was the only one who thought it tastes like soap! It is nasty and overpowers any other flavour in a dish.

It tastes nothing like soap. It's good as long you don't use too much.

I don't know if I've even had cilantro in anything. If I did, I don't recall any soapy food, so... *shrugs*

I don't like it very much but it's needed to add the right flavor to some dishes
