Hey yall! Yall want gifts? Cause I got them!

On Christmas Eve, I will be sending out presents to random lucky individuals who post on this thread!

Basically, you make a post here telling me something about the holidays. Can be anything! Your favorite Christmas song or album, a tradition you always do with family, your favorite treats or holiday movie.

I will begin selecting people (starting the night of the 23rd) to give gifts to, contacting you and asking what color present you want!
Then, as the 24th rolls around, I will start distributing presents! I may or may not be trying for a funny green name

I have not entered into every event that I'd like to yet, but I'm planning on doing so before the end of the day tomorrow, the 23rd! To start, I have 4 gifts to give out, but I will have more, so enter! I'll keep a rough tally right below.
Think of this as my way of giving back to this lovely community!!

One of my favorite holiday traditions my mom and I do is go look at Christmas lights throughout our county and have a Christmas like drink while we are driving around to each place. We've done it for years and we try to go to new places each year.

Thank you for the opportunity! My favourite things about Christmas is hanging out with my friends in the city. We hardly meet up outside of school, but we do during Christmas holidays at least once. It also happens to be one of their birthdays on the 24th, so it's even more fun! We go to all the little Christmas marts that go on around the time, buying hotdogs and hot mochas, and though some of them are killjoys, I always wear my santa hat :3

On another note, could I put your name into a wheel for who I'm going to do for the stocking stuffers? I legit have no idea who I'm going to do lol

My favorite holiday tradition is driving around to look at Christmas lights. My parents took me every year from the time I was very young, and now I go with my partner in the days leading up to Christmas.

I also have a medium-sized tree (about 5 feet) that I set up in our bedroom for us to decorate, and we accumulate our gifts for each other and for family under the tree up until we actually meet them to exchange presents. It makes me feel very festive to watch the pile slowly grow.

I do enjoy catching a movie with friends or family on Christmas. I’m a sucker for romantic movies. Something like Love Actually pulls all the right heartstrings, even though so many parts of it are totally unrealistic and sometimes problematic!
Alternately, my bestie often will do a Lord of the Rings marathon if we’re not catching something in the theaters
I think this year, we’ll just do a low key friends dinner. Maybe we’ll pop in or stream a movie too!

Itty bitty morning bump to let you guys know that I should have 4 more gifts rolling in soon, as I've made 2 new event submissions, which should total to 100 snowflakes total if staff get them to me before the end of the 24th!

No rush to staff, of course. If for whatever reason I don't get all of my snowflakes before the Leaderboard is announced at the end of the 24th, I will make sure gifts are still distributed among as many people as I can get to!

My favorite thing during the holidays, aside from eating the yule log , is opening my pets presents. Usually special expensive treats, obviously they don't care about the price at all but it's fun for us to give them something we usually can't get them while sitting on the floor, surrounded by all the fur babies.

Aww this is very kind of you! I traded all of my snowflakes/gifts with others, so it’s not like I’m gift poor, but It’s always fun to enter into chance gifts! I’m still waiting….as I think many of us are…for the snowflakes awarded in the stocking stuffers event. Then I will have two more to gift as well. I am hoping to find members who maybe didn’t get a chance to participate to gift my last two. Anyway I did not grow up with any Xmas traditions, but in past few years have gotten together with siblings and played silly board/card games after the big meal/cleanup.

this might sound simple, but my favourite christmas tradition is my family gathering at my grandparents where we, along with many of my other close loved ones go to eat a meal we call pacha that we only have once a year (unless we're lucky on easter, too) every christmas eve! we go to mass and then straight to my grandparents where we eat, and then hang out and celebrate all together. some years, we do secret santa which is always a treat! it feels especially special spending time with them this time of year and always brings me an extra bit of joy. currently getting ready now, as today is the day. happy holidays everyone!!
