When you say soda bottle or can it is IMPLIED that it means soda bottle or soda can
In English, you can carry over the "soda" to the other option because we are lazy like that

It's like saying chicken fried or grilled

I am talking about chicken. Not chicken fried or fish grilled

Something like that..

But someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I learned English lol

And pls don't stress out too much, really it's just a game. It's supposed to be fun and silly!

And yes root beer is a soda

And yes monster and red bull can count as soda because of its fizzy sugar-y content
