I was actually able to buy the silver jelly ('cause Crystal Baller, of course!) after the Summer Homework tokens!
So, if I had my way, I would rearrange my lineup like this:

First the campfire, because this was my first event. Peach, because that's my town native fruit. Then the plushies in the order my cabin met them (mountain, ocean and woodlands).
I liked the clam, as simple as that. Then the oarfish in the middle (but I still need the belly piece) and then the jelly, so all five sea pieces are together.

p.s. How do people actually re-order their lineups???

... Then that sounds difficult I bought my dino collectible first of anything, so there's no way I can rearrange the campfire forward the others or the oarfish? If it goes by date, then it's going to fall last in the lineup no matter what I do? The same happens with the peach...

Unfortunately, yes. That's why some line-ups are quite simply impossible because of the date the collectibles were released. There may always be re-releases of certain collectibles in the future so that you could date trade or buy a new one if that happens, but the patches are forever locked in place.
