Comfort zone content?

i'm a musical theatre dork so i have a calming playlist for when i'm sad and just going through it. animal crossing is also majorly helpful!

comfort movies: mary poppins returns, big fish, addams family values, little women, booksmart! comfort shows: parks and rec, marvelous mrs. maisel, schitt's creek, brooklyn nine-nine. i also love watching horror movies because they take my mind off whatever's goin on.

my comfort show would definitely be saiki k, i can go back to it and find myself laughing so much. also wall e is so wholesome i love watching it

I have this when I'm eating; I hate eating while watching something new! My comfort zone shows are Safiya Nygaard youtube videos, Bob's Burgers, Parks & Rec and (I have to confess) Love Island.

I love listening to HSM soundtrack while doing homework. It helps and the soundtrack is soo nostalgic.

Whisper of the Heart and Big Windup!! are my comfy shows.... The former I've watched like? 5 times. It's a movie that feels like a hug, and same with Big Windup.

I hope you find new things that expand your comfort zones! I feel you on that, it's like... Sometimes you find something that caters so much to your interests that when you find a new one you're like, "Eeh, it's got this but its missing certain appeals that x and y have.." But there's a whole buncha' content out there, so happy searching! <3 Maybe one of your pals can suggest something for you?

Already mentioned this show BUT whenever i feel like crap or anything i go watch ducktales 2017 lol it almost always immediately makes me feel better! Most Disney duck media is just kinda comfort to me whether it be comics like topolino or paperinik comics or shows like quack pack hell even Maui mallard on the snes made me super happy! :]

The Creatures is always my first thought when I need cheering up and want to watch YouTube.
It makes me kind of sad knowing they’ve all split up and gone their own ways, but I was a fan of theirs since early 2012 and I love re-watching all the old videos.
Same with their individual channels, it’s nice going back and watching old videos from Kootra, SSoHPKC, SlyfoxHound, UberHaxorNova, ImmortalHD, DanzNewz, ZeRoyalViking, GoldenBlackHawk, ChilledChaos, and GassyMexican

I don't really watch TV much anymore, but normally I have youtube playing in the BG to help me focus.

-I listen to the Japanese spongebob outro because it's a song that makes me feel happy because it's super cute
-Little Big Planet use to be a huge stress reliever during a very hard time in my life, I would look forward to hopping on and playing that after school
-Youtube has the whole Gregory Horror Show series online, and I love to go back and watch that again from time to time just because the show is very odd!
-Animal Crossing honestly helps me with my depression a bit, especially back in 2018 when I first got New Leaf
-Perfectly cut scream videos make me laugh so I play those in the BG when I'm especially having a bad mood drop
-I sometimes go back and watch Markipliers old fnaf playthroughs, even though I don't really watch Mark much anymore
-Dead By Daylight videos also are normally playing in the BG

Drawing when I'm inspired also keeps me from thinking about things that trigger my depression episodes, so I'm normally drawing or coloring.

i love bojack horseman for tv shows, but i have a toooon of youtubers i love to watch over and over: callmecarson, jenna marbles, unus annus, the right opinion, joseph anderson, cody ko, and old roosterteeth/let's play stuff

I honestly don't watch a lot of TV or movies anymore- so youtube and twitch has been my main source of entertainment (besides twitter and instagram).
Berleezy has been my go-to YouTuber/Streamer for years. He's helped me through my saddest and darkest moments and one day I'd really love to thank him for everything he has got me through.
I would also love to thank Dashie. Although I don't watch him that much anymore, he carried me through middle school when I came home upset about something. Love that man :')

i don't tend to rewatch shows or movies, but i rewatch a lot of youtube videos when i'm feeling down. compilations of my favorite game grumps moments always cheers me up!

Definitely The Office (US). Although I think I've finally reached a point where I have overwatched it lol

In terms of youtube channels, I love watching baking and sewing tutorials. Even if I don't intend on making the thing. Aquascaping videos are pretty cool too, as long as they involve proper, healthy aquarium practices.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World - the film and the graphic novels.

Actually, Bryan Lee O'Malley in general - his work is great to me. His graphic novel Lost At Sea is amazing, and Seconds is probably a favourite.

Aside from that I watch some easy-going streamers, especially those who code on stream, fun stuff. Tend to avoid YouTube since it's 90% algotihtm-pleasing filler.

Bee and Puppycat is iconic comfort content
Bob Ross is iconic and peak comfort content
my favorite form of media is video games, so most of my comfort content is those. usually in YouTube playthrough form. LISA the Painful, Wario Land 3, Paper Mario, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Pikmin, Mega Man Legends... Octo Expansion has comfy vibes most of the time too.

Wholesome anime romances are always where I find comfort. They always make me smile and cheer me up whenever I'm having a bad day (e.g.: Tamako Love Story is a movie I've seen at least seven times).

Baking videos on YouTube with no talking are also my go-to because there's no drama or conflict involved. It's just relaxing sounds, delicious-looking food, and learning great baking techniques/recipes to try for myself.

As for watching, my comfort zone shows include (preferably old episodes of) SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents, Pokémon (even though the new episodes are also pretty good), Futurama, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Moomin, and Baman Piderman, but also more recent shows like Nomad Of Nowhere, Clarence, The Loud House, and Steven Universe, of which I still have yet to watch Future. :p

I do watch more cartoons than 'real people shows', but if I still have to pick a few favourites, they're The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody, Drake & Josh, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, none of which contains explicit and graphic content.

And rarely (please don't dislike me for this), I also (binge-)watch Dutch and Flemish children's shows with which I grew up since I'm Dutch, of course, such as Ernst & Bobbie, Alfred J. Kwak, Samson & Gert, and the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street. Because of sentimentality, nostalgia and other positive feelings in that way, perhaps?
In any case, all of those shows have obvious dialogues in contrast to shows like In The Night Garden, which I don't watch just because it consists of barely anything but incoherent babbling if you don't count the narrator. :p

Oh, and even in cartoons, I occasionally cannot stand explicit and graphic content like blood and visible organs (in a huge contrast to my 13-year-old self who loved and enjoyed South Park, Deep Space 69, Gundarr and Happy Tree Friends like a good pizza), but there are still some shows that I still enjoy to watch despite that, such as Camp Camp, BoJack Horseman, F Is For Family, D1ck Figures, Rick and Morty, and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.
Too explicit and graphic (for me, at least) shows that are not comfortable with me at all, such as Salad Fingers, Charlie the Unicorn and Llamas In Hats, are on my blacklist and will not ever be watched by me anytime soon.

If it's not really shows, then I mostly like to watch nature documentaries like Planet Earth, or gaming videos on YouTube by a frantic variety of users, including NintendoCentral, ProsafiaGaming, Chuggaaconroy, GTLive, Jacksepticeye, JVGS Jeff, and the Game Grumps.
I'm mostly a fan of Nintendo games (including Animal Crossing, of course ;)), and some indie games like Yume Nikki and Deltarune are also some favourites of mine (I do have Steam, but am mostly too lazy to even buy anything fun there :p), but the more explicit and graphic games like DDLC and Sally Face are also on my blacklist, meaning that I won't ever watch videos of such games anytime soon either.

As for reading, I mostly read Homestuck (the Beyond Canon part at the moment as I've read all of the original HS stories already) or fanfics about my favourite subjects, but at times, I also like to read physical book comics like Donald Duck, which is quite a popular Disney comic series in the Nether.
I also have some of my fanfics and some well-known Dutch youth? books on my e-reader, and to be honest, I prefer the e-reader over physical books, as I don't consistently have to re-pose to read the left page, re-pose the book into a comfortable position, or flip pages. It's just a matter of pressing the buttons for the next or previous page(s), and, once the device is off when I'm done reading, flipping its cover to close it with the magnet clasp. :)

Mostly sitcoms. Friends, Full House, The Fresh Prince, The Simpsons, etc.

Also 13 Going on 30 and some of the older DreamWorks movies.

I also watch tons of Jenna marbles! I’ll rematch old videos all the time for comfort. For some reason that one with her crying in mascara is a particular favourite. This is weird but I also like rewatching horror movies, especially slashers from when I was a kid like saw.

Lately I’ve been rewatching the 90s dub of sailor moon from when I was a kid which had also been great.

I don't like to rewatch a lot of things because there are so many shows and movies I want to see but still haven't found time to watch. So I feel like I'm wasting my time if I rewatch things too often. There are a few exceptions, but if I'm rewatching something it's usually because it's a favorite and I haven't seen it in many years so my memory of it is getting rusty.

However, I do have genres that I would consider my comfort zone. If I'm stressed and want to relax without needing to use my brain a lot, I will watch sitcoms, children's shows, game shows, Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks movies, and things of that nature. I particularly enjoy contests like Face Off, Lego Masters, Steampunk'd, etc where contestants create cool things. I can binge watch those types of shows when I'm having a bad day and I don't normally binge watch anything.
