I'm just about to finish my museum (I'm only missing 3 deep sea creatures) and I'm thinking of aiming to completing the catalog, clothes, furniture, DIY, everything! how about you guys? do you like to collect things or the sheer ammount overwhelms you?

i'm definitely looking to complete my museum and my DIY list (though both are going to take foooorever), but i'm not sure about completing the catalogue. i don't think i have the patience for it! i tried in both new leaf and wild world but i never managed to succeed, haha. i think colour variations in new horizons make it super difficult too - i really don't have the patience to try and trade for every colour of every item!

In my museum, I only need two more sea creatures in March.
DIYs I have pretty much complete except one or two more Celeste recipes.

I am trying to complete my catalog fully. Furniture is my main focus first but then I'll move on to clothing. I'm almost done with all furniture items (excluding some saharah obtained floors/walls/rug).
I want to hopefully get that done tomorrow and then I'll start putting together my list of clothing needs for tracking purposes.

yeah I'm trying to not tt on top of that, so you can imagine how annoying getting all fish and bugs was, bet you'll be there in to time doe!

I'm trying to collect everything. This includes all the variations of every furniture that can be customized! Will I ever use any of the customized items.. probably not. Will I enjoy seeing them in my catalog when I scroll through? YES! LOL :ROFLMAO:
Me too!!! I think I'll just re-do my island over and over again just to play with all the items I will have ashdfasfdgsa like a tattoo, is it painful? yes. do i LOVE it? also yes.

Oh to be that close... My sea creatures are really spread apart so its going to be a real pain to get them all OTL, you seem to be breezing through this~

I always aim to complete the museum! and I'm also trying to collect all the DIYs, although I missed out on a bunch of spring ones thanks to bunny day so I've gotta wait a bit to get those back. no way will I be trying to complete my catalogue though! there's just so much stuff and so many colour variations so I absolutely don't have the patience for that haha

Yeah but I'm a mixture of yes and not intensely active on completing.

I just need to finish my art exhibit in the museum, diys are near complete, furniture and clothing are in progress but I have a good amount cataloged.

I even want to complete the nook miles achievements, and craft all diys to get the little ✓ mark, lol.

When I got the game I was set on doing that like with New Leaf, but the locked variants per island at Nook's make it a very discouraging experience when you mostly prefer singleplayer. Unless you trade, getting every variant is futile, so I am not aiming to complete the catalog of this game.

Yes I've done that as well. It actually helped with my storage space. Guess I was hoarding all the mats! LOL. Then I went to my catalog and made sure I had all the colors as well. If not well... it was a ton of customization kits!

oooOOH bunny day..... how could I forget bunny day~ I hate that you can miss DIY due events, something similar happened to me with the spring DIY and the xmas ones. Now I'm missing all the festive stuff.

i'm semi-actively doing it. i'm not trading for furniture or color variants, but if i go to someone else's town and see any i'm missing, then i buy them. i also check any new furniture i get from trees/balloons for new colors and mark everything off in my app as i go. i won't be, like, disappointed or anything if i never complete it though, because i 100% doubt i will given the ludicrous amount of color variants and the equally as ludicrous "town locked" mechanic.

the little ✓ mark is supper sastisfying doe!! I'm THINKING of doing that (who am i kidding i'll probably do it too)

I honestly couldn’t stand the stress of being a completionist 🥺 credit to those that do (also thanks as I have been given so much help and have been given more than I could have hoped for 💜)

I always do try and complete the museum. I have completed the fossils and am now very slowly working through the artworks. Fish and sea creatures will take a while (Spiders no hope in this life) 🙈😂

I typically acquire items that interest me, when it makes itself available. Later, I find out it has a variant that I like better, so I seek that one out here on the forum.
On the other hand, if I see an item someone else here is looking for, and it interests me too, I will seek that one out as well.
I have yet to see the entire catalog.

I want to complete the museum for sure and I also feel like it would be nice to complete my DIY list but I probably wont try to complete my orderable catalog haha

museum & seasonal DIY, just finished the bug part

In New Leaf, I had to have everything. I feel a bit overwhelmed in Horizons. Especially with the clothing and all the variations. I'm just trying to get everything else and not worry about the clothes.

I want to complete my museum, I've finished the fossil and fish sections and am quite close on bugs but I still have a long way to go with the artwork. I'd also like to collect all the DIYs, even if I never use some of them I think it would be nice to always have the option. I'm not aiming to complete the furniture and clothes catalogues though due to how large they are, I'd love to complete them but don't think I have the patience for it.

I want to collect everything, although I'm not yet so extreme as to collect the customized versions just to have them in my catalog. Maybe if they introduce a better option to buy in bulk, so I don't have to spend hours just buying customization kits, lol. Then again, cataloging all the clothing is already draining my bank account faster than I'd like...

Also, since the check marks on the DIYs were mentioned (I'm glad I'm apparently not the only one who likes collecting them), I found out yesterday that the background pattern changes to have a holo effect, as well.

I'm going for a complete catalog, all DIYs crafted, and properly unlocked posters.
