I just started this game tonight and I'm not crazy about it so far. I have heard something that concerns me and I'm trying to get confirmation if it's true or not. I time travel in ac and I have heard that if I do that it can corrupt my cozy grove game file is this true? If I synchronize the clock before i enter cozy grove will it still be corrupted? im not giving up tting in ac for this game so better to know now i guess. thanks

I love Cozy Grove and the real time aspect of it. I like to switch between several different games during the day, so it doesn’t bother me that Cozy Grove can only be played for 20-30 minutes a day.
One of the loading screen tips warns about save corruption if you time travel. I found this info from the game devs that explains about it. According to the page I linked, you may be able to time travel forward to the next day, but going backwards is what causes the corruption.
edit: I just reread your post, and realized you’re playing on a switch. I think as long as you make sure you’re on the correct date before opening cozy grove, time traveling in acnh won’t corrupt it. You could always test it out while youre still at the beginning of the game and not attached to it yet, so if it does corrupt you wont lose much.

i dont mind that cozy grove isnt an all day type of game either, i have ac for that. its starting to grow on me but i will do what you suggest before i go any further. i just have a bad feeling one day i will forget to fix to the clock. i really wish ac still had an internal game clock, then this wouldnt be an issue

As Livia said, as long as you check before you load up cozy grove, you should be fine. I've been playing since it came out, and with a friend created one of the groups for Cozy Grove, so I've seen a lot of the members TT and stuff and what's happened to them. My friend went forwards, and then just didn't play until it caught up and they were fine, but better to be safe than sorry, and try to remember to check (easier said than done, I know) :'D
