creating your island.

hello everyone!
so, everyone seems to have a few things planned out for their island.
i was wondering, have you figured out the following?
-what will be your town name?
-what will be your characters name? will you be using your own name or a name you like?
-do you want to reset for a specific fruit (if so, what?), or do you not care?
-will you have the game on release date?

can't wait to read everyone's replies

(also, i got a switch today! sadly, the new ac switch was sold out EVERYWHERE. i got a black one instead, and i will probably decorate it with skins!)

- my town name will be calypso!
- I’ll be using my own name for my character (jade) as opposed to Aria, the name I usually choose. I decided I’d like to play as me for a change
- I’m not too fussy as long as it isn’t pears, but I’d like peach or cherry ideally. Maybe even orange! Just not pears. No pears pls.
- I will but not until the morning, I have college in the afternoon so probably won’t have much time to play once it’s setup but I’ve kept the night free of plans so I can dedicate it all to AC time B-)

Congrats on securing a switch!! There are so many cute customization options I almost got a grey one just to deck out. I recommend stickybunnys decals on Etsy, they don't erode any coating on your hardware. c:


My islander will be Sierra and she'll be in Summersalt Isle (assuming suffixes)!!

Oranges, pears, apples are my preference and I will definitely be playing at 9pm on the 19th!

- I'm going to name my town Solaria.
- I'll be using my real name for my character.
- I want either peaches or apples, they're the only ones that I think look nice.
- I have digitally preordered the game, so I'll be able to play it as soon as I want to.

- Solstice
- Jacob which is indeed my real name (the more you know)
- I don't really care too much about fruit and I can always trade others for different types.
- I already have the game downloaded on my Switch so I'll be be able to access it 12AM on the 20th

Town Name: Lumeria (it means "light of the Sea")

Character name: Winnie or Winona, I haven't fully decided yet. Either way my head cannon for my character is that her name is Winona with the nickname Winnie. My real name is Whitney, but my preferred nickname for it is Winnie.

Preferred Fruit: Apples, or peaches or cherries

I'm most likely going to reset at least a few times to see lots of different maps and airports. I'd also love to start with Reneigh, so I might try to reset for her.

Oh and I will have the game at 9pm pst on 3/19!

We are on the west coast, so midnight eastern time is 9pm for us.

Reset for fruit: Maybe, but probably not as important as other map locked features. I would like apples. I don`t see the big deal though, you can "import" them anyways and plant them all over the place right?

Game on release date: I already bought it actually.

- my character’s name will be xara which is my irl name but i’ll have 2 side-characters named juniper and sage!
- i’m gonna be resetting for peaches since i really want them

The reason people care about native fruit is because in the past you could only grow your town's native perfect fruit. Also because there are supposed to be "fruit items" you can craft based on your native fruit.

I preloaded, so I hoping to get to play it an hour before midnight. I won't be resetting for fruit, as finding a good map will be tedious enough.

town name is morpheus! inspo taken from mythology but final decision was made due to love for ag howard book character whom i love a lot.

will be using name associated wiyh mythology but might make some tweaks to it.

Fruit: really want cherries, but any of the others is fine

- I hope to start with Apples, I've always had apple in every one of my games since GC and I just love the perfect apples.
- Going to get the game/console/case at a 10pm release here in Australia !! So excited.

I will use my actual name
Hoping for peaches, seeing as I love the new design
