The last few days, I discovered a PC game. I usually don't play PC games, but this one is bizarrely unique, as if SimCity met Slay the Spire. It is called Against the Storm, and it is wonderfully fun and addictive.

I see is as a 'settlement builder roguelike', if there was ever was such a thing. Not sure if many Animal Crossing fans might like it, but with enough adjustments, it would make an awesome base for an Animal Crossing sidegame, in the realm of Desert Island Escape!

I'm currently playing Metal Gear on the MSX. 🐍📦 I beat it three years ago, yet a lot of the gameplay is still fresh in my mind. 🧠 If you like the Metal Gear series but haven't tried this one yet, give it a go! 🙌 Force yourself to play the game, because when I first tried it, I did not like it. After pushing myself, I got familiar with the controls and got used to the learning curve and I became hooked. 🤩

While the humor hasn't gripped me the same way the previous two games have, Portal Revolution has been pretty fun so far.

Ape Escape 3 on the PS2. Owned it since I was a kid. I previously beat it right after graduating high school, and thought I'd revisit it again after hooking up and using my dusty console after many years. I forgot how much I loved the premise of the game - Specter (the villain) creating TV broadcasts using his monkeys to take over the world by brainwashing the humans. As I like film & TV stuff, this game got me hooked right away. I never beat the first two, nor have I really played the spinoffs, but I think this game is the best in the series when it comes to gameplay, music, and extra content.

I'm wanting to play other games I currently own - I ordered a new controller and also picked up some games I previously only rented at my nearby retro game store. I love the simplicity of these older games compared to new ones today.

It's been awhile since I've posted in here mainly because I haven't been playing anything the past few months, oops, but I'm currently playing through Metroid Prime Remastered! I've looked forward to playing the remastered version, and I'm definitely enjoying it!

Palworld is finally in EA and its SO much fun!! I've put maybe about 3-4 hours of casual gameplay and can see it being addicting.

I also played several hours of Palworld today, and I like it a lot. Does it blatantly lift design elements from very specific Pokemon? Absolutely. But it's a lot of fun...so, who cares. - It should also be said that the gun element of it has been blown out of proportion. You won't even have a gun in the game until you level up considerably. You can get a crossbow at level 13, and a musket at level 21. But the overall feel of the game is that you need to grind to obtain more and more powerful weapons. So...the aesthetic that people seem to be hyping from the trailer is definitely exaggerated. There aren't Pikachu clones walking around with assault rifles the moment you start the game. Lol

It's mostly like a Monster Hunter game with Fallout-like base building. The actual exploration feels a lot like the recent Pokemon games. Almost identical to something like Scarlet/Violet, IMO...even the way you call out a Pal to battle enemies and stuff. That's all very familiar. But the combination of everything else makes it feel a lot more interesting. Lots of crafting, lots of building, lots of unlocking recipes and choosing what kind of a character you want to focus on being.

i’ve gone for some nostalgia and started playing rampage; total destruction. i used to play it with my big brother when i was younger on the playstation - brings back some good memories.

After beating Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, I didn’t have plans to play another game and don’t really know which one to play. Decided to pick back up with LoZ: Skyward Sword HD last night, and I quickly realized why I stopped playing that game. I hadn’t played it since 8/7/21 and it’s just so finicky with the controls. I’m well versed in motion control use, but man this is rough. I am going to give it another day or two’s play, but I might not finish it.

Palworld and Stardew Valley. Since Palworld is on my PC, Stardew valley is when I feel too bad to sit in a computer chair for just a game rn.

I've finally gotten back to playing Super Mario Wonder. This time I think I'll actually finish it before getting distracted by other games again. I'm in a Mario mood lately, so I might replay some other Mario games after I finish Wonder

I'm in a Mario mood
Asarena, do you do anything to keep that Mario mood goin'? Maybe have mushrooms for lunch? 🍄😋 Maybe put on a red hat and start bing-bing wahooing all over the house? 🤪💥🏠 Mar. 10 day is coming up, so maybe it's time to grow-out those mustaches ahead of time and be a real Mario for Mario day! 😀❗

I'm currently playing Wylde Flowers and I think I'm the slowest player. 23 hours in and I'm still in Spring 1, playing on slow too. I just want to progress as much as possible before changing seasons. I already got two reminders in my in-game mailbox to not forget the main quest. 🫣

Been playing a crap ton of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail lately.

Also playing Pokemon White 2 post-game and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the side.

I recently bought a Switch Online pass and some free games were Tetris 99 and F-Zero 99. Been playing those and it's quite fun.

Too bad you can't switch to Type B music in Tetris 99. I'm hoping it could be unlocked later on.
