I finally managed to place the pre-order for the ACNH switch and I'm over the moon! However I'm thinking of swapping out the joycons for pure white ones (going to re-shell my old joycons). Here's a crappy mock-up I made:

noo, i'd be too scared to try. the only time i'll ever try and re-shell joycons is, after i get my special edition animal crossing switch, if the joycons break and i know it's unlikely i'll get replacements in the special edition shell, i'll buy new ones and swap the shell. otherwise that stuff makes me too nervous.
No I quite like the aqua colour of my switch lite with the white buttons as it is. Although, I found a website which sold a cute collection of skins that were of different pastels; mostly pinks with various motifs. I'll probably look into buying one of those once I start to get bored of the aqua.
Those paw print joy-cons look so cute though, its simple but different I like it.
I actually really like the ACNH switch bundle edition, but I'm not prepared to pay out for it when I've already got one.
I think I'm going to opt to mod a console instead of buying the NH one. I like it, but I think I could make something better and I don't really like how the switch itself is black but the dock and back of the controllers are white.
im planning on buying some ac themed stickers and decorating my dock with it, and i might be buying new joy cons eventually due to jocon drift, but since i now have my original joycons and 2 wired controllers (both wired controllers also have it which is a pain), i can't justify spending $120 on new controllers when technically i can still use my current ones, they are just a bit annoying sometimes.
I might give it a try, but I'm only willing to try my luck on a used, lowered price Switch. I wouldn't try modifying a brand new Switch, unless I were 100% confident in my abilities. I'd like my switch to be clear like this:

with the buttons colored anything other than black or white (pink, yellow, green, ect.)
I've made I think so far 3 different Joy Cons colors + changed the backplate of my Switch.

Someone on discord posted wood-aesthetic joycons with golden buttons... I think I'll recreate that because I loved them!! I like wood stuff and gold fits well with it. Just gotta be careful with gold that it doesn't turn into "bad taste" with too much of it.
I just got the skin for my Switch Lite Yellow today! It actually came pretty quick and I have to admit, it was a little hard putting the skin on, but it was worth it. Grant it, the way the skin is, it has a few kinks in it, but it still looks good! I'm happy with it so far.
So yeah, I got my Animal Crossing themed Switch and are ready for New Horizons when it comes out.
I'm planning on getting button replacements to make my joycon buttons white and then getting a pastel skin to go on it all. I also want to find some cute thumb grips but I'm not into the paw ones...
