D.I.Y. VS. Purchased items?

this is a bit off topic but why do some of y'all hate crafting so much? adding materials to collect just gives us more things to do in this game, and the recipe collection will gives the game more longevity. there are seemingly no crafting times and everything is instant. i really just can't wrap my head around the dislike.

I'm going to guess it has a lot to do with PC, having not played it myself and having enjoyed BOTW crafting i'm looking forward to it : ) I do agree purchase later is fine too, it could still be nice if certain few items were craft only for example fruit furniture makes sense because it's your town fruit or like my example the flower crown. I can definitely see how purchasing tools later on would be a lot easier haha xD overall i'm just excited to see how it turns out and what we can craft o/

I have no problem with the crafting, if I can save bells for something that can't be crafted I rather do that then buy it. I got upgrades to pay for

I'd like a little from column A and a little from column B. I want some items to be purchase-only, and some to only be able to be crafted. It would be kind of cool to have a way to order items once you've crafted them yourself, I suppose, but personally, I'd like that bit of D.I.Y. to stay as it is. Otherwise late-game will be too easy and it might lose some of its charm.

This is essentially what I hope for too haha. It'd be nice if there were some craft-only exclusives but things such as tools i.e. flimsy etc. could be purchased for ease : ) I definitely hope we have some items stay as craft only to keep some fun and continuous craft item collecting late-game.

This is a long shot, but it would also be cool if your crafting still improved over time to the point that people like Timmy and Tommy, or GracieGrace, start to notice. Items that were once D.I.Y. show up later, redesigned, mass-marketed, or another artistic mind like Gracie took your idea and expanded upon it. Not likely, but it would be neat if your "creative" D.I.Y. items showed up later, just. Better. So you could stick with rustic if you like. Or not.
