Today was the day I got settled in Hongkong to start my new life. I was greeted by a fellow names Kapp'n who was my cab driver. It was a dark cold and rainy, but the drive was quite nice and peaceful. Upon arrival in Hongkong I was dropped off at the town hall and was greeted by a lady whose name was Pelly. She helped get me situated with the town along with a map of the town and told me where my home was that I would be living in over the course of my stay.
I ran to check out my house, very small it was indeed. Nonetheless it was perfect for the time being. As I exited my house I was greeted by a gentle man, Mr Tom Nook. He had welcomed me to the town and told me about me rent for staying in my house in Hongkong. He seemed to have noticed that I didn't have enough to make the down payment so he insisted I work a couple hours for him at his shop, Nook'n'Cranny. I had no choice but to accept his generous offer. As I ran errands for him a got acquainted with the town folk: Filbert, Pierce, Victoria and even the mayor himself who was a jolly old champ. Everyone was so nice to me. After running multiple errands for Mr. Tom Nook, he told me that the remaining loan on my house was 18,400 bells. I wasn't mad, why would I be?
I left his shop and was ready to get relaxed. So I went fishing. I had caught all kinds of lovely fish, including the Barred Jaw Fish! As the night was ready to come to an end I decided to make some cash so I sold the fish I caught as well as some oranges to Mr. Nook gaining enough bells to pay off all 18,400. He then sold me the idea that my house was to small, that it needed upgrading. I wasn't sure if I was ready for this or even had the money, but he insisted as he does. He told me that my home would be rebuild and ready by tomorrow with a free complimentary roof paint job.
Well, it was late so I headed home and that's where i am now ready to end my first of 300 days in Hongkong
