The skies were cloudy after I woke up, and it wasn't long before it started raining. So I wouldn't have to water flowers today, and that makes my patrol fairly easy. I had a few letters, one from Lolly thanking me for critiquing her home and saying that she would try to improve it. I really hope so. Felicity sent me an invitation to her birthday party on the 30th, just three days after Lolly's. Now I really need to get on the ball and start finding some good presents for two of my favorite kitties. The last letter was from Chief, who said that just changing your wallpaper can do a lot for your mood or something. Enclosed was a Dirt-Clod Wall, which I was happy to see I did not have checked off in my catalog.
With that I put up my umbrella and embarked on my patrol. I decided to wear my Mint Gingham Shirt today so I could use my matching Mint Umbrella, one of my personal favorite outfits. As I walked by the Police Station, I noticed that two violets were missing. I was fairly certain that I checked to see if they needed watering yesterday, but maybe not. Or we have a flower thief on our hands. Rather bold of them to be stealing flowers directly beside the Police Station, but it's not like Booker pays enough attention to have noticed that anyway.
Shortly after, Wart Jr. called me over and this is what he said:

Um... ? Yeah, I didn't really like the sound of that, but I agreed to trade him for my Dirt-Clod Wall anyway. Later on, he called me over again and suggested I trade my Gold Nugget for his Danger Tee. Sorry to burst your bubble this time, buddy, but this is mine.
Felicity was in her home today, so I dropped by to see what she was up to. She asked me if I could help her find a new something for her room. I remembered I had a Grass Standee stashed away and figured that would be perfect, since she has a backyard-theme going on. She was happy to receive this and put it down in place of her Kiddie Tee. The Kiddie Tee that Lolly had given her not so long ago. I mentioned in a blog a few weeks ago that Lolly had given Felicity a present that Felicity complained about hating; well, that was the Kiddie Tee. I had told her to wear it because no one disrespects my dear Lolly, but shortly after she had changed and put the Kiddie Tee in her house. I only mention this because right after I left Felicity's, I had a chat with Lolly, and she noticed the Kiddie Tee and asked if she could have it as a reference for a painting she was doing. And thus the Kiddie Tee made its way back into Lolly's hands. Small world.
Fang wasn't out and about, but instead was enjoying the rainy morning inside his home. I dropped by to see if he got settled in alright, and by the looks of it he did. I noticed, too, that he looks an awful lot like Whitney. Come to think of it, I wonder if they're related. He's also so very cute, with his big adorable eyes and all. It still surprises me that he's a Cranky; he seems a bit soft for that. But the Crankies tend to be some of my favorites, so I'm looking forward to getting to know him better.
After I finished gathering and selling my findings and catching up with all of my friends, I went to work with Brewster. Felicity came in for the first time today, so I had to guess at what she wanted. Mocha/lots of milk/three sugars did not seem to be anything of what she liked. I also noticed that it seems that only my local villagers assume I know what coffee they like and order 'usuals', whereas the random drifters tend to give me one or two preferences.
As such, Renée the pink rhinoceros was next and told me that she would like a regular amount of milk in her coffee. I guessed a mocha since it seems to be the most popular blend, but apparently that wasn't the kind she liked.
Next was Whitney, and all I knew is that she likes mocha. I guessed at a little milk and one sugar this time and she said it was just right.
Pete was last, and I tried blue mountain coffee with a regular amount of milk and one sugar. He said he liked the amount of milk but everything else wasn't to his liking.
After my shift, I walked around the corner and up to the Development Center for the last room of this tour, the upstairs trophy room. I really had fun with this one.

This room honors Connecticut's many achievements in 2014 -- the fourth national championship for the boy's team, the ninth for the girl's, and the honor of winning both in the same year, a feat only ever accomplished by Connecticut (and twice, at that!).
So there you can see the four trophies in the back, which I actually had downstairs in the basketball court for a long time. But I realized they blocked the view of most of the room and thus the idea for this room was born. Originally I wanted to use the HHA plaques since they resemble the NCAA trophies more than the actual trophies do, but I figured the actual trophies would get the point across a lot better. I had wanted to have the girls' trophies as well, but unfortunately putting nine more trophies up here wouldn't have left any space for much else. So I had to think of another way to honor the girls' achievements, and this is what I got.

Here I have my basketball mannequin, and I don't actually think there's ever been a #10 that I know of so I can't say exactly who that's supposed to be. Then I thought I could use the design on an actual t-shirt that I own, so that's it there. Number nine. Which I'll most likely have to change come next month, since it looks like the girls are going on to win their tenth this year. But I'll worry about that when it happens.

And here's the corresponding other side of the room, with a Fancy Frame displaying yet another design from a t-shirt that I actually have. x) I had to alter this one a bit to be readable, but I was very pleased with its turnout. I still wanted to use the HHA plaques, so here is where I put them. I'd like to change the silver one out with a gold whenever I can get another.
So, yeah! That's all of the Trophy Room, and the last of the UConn Basketball Development Center. I hope everyone enjoyed it. I know Buck will be stoked to finally come and work out here. I'm pretty excited to finally have another house down, and I'm looking forward to moving on to Lily's, a soon-to-be Red Queen's Castle. Speaking of, by the way, Nook is finally selling a Red Roof I can buy for that! It's looked very wrong for so long without it.
