Seeing as it is late now, I hope everyone had a nice Nature Day!

I surely did. Thanks to yesterday's rain, my town was vibrant and fresh today with no wilted flowers and gyroids scattered about. Plus, it was a nice little take-back to the first special event I wholly experienced as Mayor of Storrs.
First things first, I had a few letters. Wart Jr. bade me farewell and sent his picture so I would always remember him. This makes the third copy, so I probably couldn't forget him even if I wanted to. He sent a followup letter, reminding me of the time capsule we had buried together and telling me that I could dig it up and have whatever was in it. Whitney wrote me to tell me she appreciated my harshness and pity when I visited yesterday; But I only told her that her house was great! I also had a letter from Lolly, thanking me for the letter I had sent her and saying that she found herself at a loss for words. Seeing as she used the word "poignant" in her message, I doubted that highly.
I set off on patrol and soon I reached the spot where Wart Jr.'s house once stood. I found the time capsule and an uncracked emerald, which I thought fittingly commemorated Wart Jr.'s departure, like a little memorial.

I'm going to clean up the area a bit and take a new picture here tomorrow. I'd like to know what you all think I should do with the grounds next.
The time capsule ended up being a Fall Plaid Tee that he said made him lose all interest in fashion, and rightly so. That thing is hideous.
Continuing on, I picked a flea off of Lolly and had Felicity run up to me. She suggested that we build an Illuminated Tree in town. As was the case the last time she suggested a PWP, Deirdre was nearby and I hoped that this time, she might have taken note. This mayor listens to your suggestions, people!
After that, I stopped to admire the newly relocated lighthouse.

I felt like I reenacted the great Cape Hatteras relocation of 1999. x)
Anyhow, I think it looks perfect here. I'll take a better picture at the ceremony tomorrow when it's daytime.
I stopped in to see Buck and he wanted me to catch him a river fish. I did so, and on my way to give it to him Whitney called out to me. She asked me to deliver a package to Felicity, which I agreed to do after I took Buck his fish. I gave the Koi I caught to him, and he thanked me with a Train Set. I noticed, too, that he'd displayed the Sleek Chair I sold to him the other day. Gonna have to get that out of there. And probably the fish, if he chooses to put it out as well. I found Felicity by her house and, despite Whitney telling me to be discreet and the fact that Lolly and Deirdre were right next to us, I gave her the package. Turns out, it was a present for me. Again! It was a Boxing Mat which Felicity thought would look great with my decor, for some reason. It would not.
Lastly, I did my routine shopping and made sure to buy some medicine for Chief. He told me he felt just about fully recovered, so that should have to be the last dose. Then I went to bury my fertilizer between my purple tulips, and accidentally dug one of them up. Dx Now I only have one and will have to try to grow another from it and a random other tulip.
And that does it for today's shenanigans; More to come tomorrow!
