Today in Storrs was another cloudy one. So my highly anticipated outfit would have to wait for yet another day. I decided to keep my Princess Dress on from yesterday, since I enjoyed it so much. But this time I made sure to borrow my Crown from a mannequin in Lily's house. I intend to buy another someday, but until the Queen's castle is finished I can just take mine out whenever I want to wear it. I grabbed a matching umbrella just in case and set off on my stroll through town.
I first checked the town's Instrument Shelter and whatever is in there informed me of the possibility of rain at any moment. Good call on the umbrella, I thought. Next I noticed that another camper had set up in town today! This always excites me, especially since I have room to invite that one perfect person to be our tenth resident. Today's visitor was Prince, an adorably sweet little froggie.

I loved him! The frogs are probably one of my most favorite villager species. But I thought that if there's any hope of getting Lolly back, I need to leave that tenth villager spot open for now. So I had to pass on inviting Prince to stay.
Felicity came running up to me outside of the Cafe and offered me a Blue-Zap Suit, since she thought I said I wanted one. She's had several misconstrusions about that lately... Nevertheless, I couldn't turn down a free gift and gladly took it off her hands.
Deirdre was outside of her house and I spoke to her. She told me Fang had come to her house the other day and told her that it was "so empty and uncool." I thought that sounded rather hypocritical of him; Fang is always complaining to me about Chief coming over and telling him that his house doesn't have enough decorations. Maybe he's taken up criticizing others' homes to make himself feel better? Either way, I was eager to help Deirdre find something new for her home. I never found anything in the shops I thought would fit in, though. Maybe I'll order her something new and send it in the mail.
Fang pinged outside of Re-Tail and said something for Felicity went to his house by mistake. Not surprising. I took it from him and ran back to where I had spoken to Felicity just moments before. She was still there, and opened the box to find the Lychee she had forgotten about expecting. She thanked me with a Sailor's Tee and I resumed my search of the town.
After retrieving all there was to find today, I made for Main Street. On the way I ran into Colton and he called out to me. He told me that he was planning on leaving Storrs on the 30th. But Colton! You just told me yesterday that you hope we could be friends forever. What's up with that? ): I quickly talked him out of his plans, and I believe he was only saying that to see if anyone would care...

He must really like me. :')
Then I made it to the museum. After I had my fossils identified, I handed over the Amazing Painting I'd gotten in the mail from Redd. Lo and behold, it was legit! Another artwork down.
After that, I emptied my pockets at Re-Tail to have room for my shopping. I purchased my obligatory fertilizer from Leif and a few shirts from Gracie I hadn't gotten yet. I buried my fertilizer, watered my flowers, then figured I should pay a visit to Chester since he was home. He was trying to offload his Tall Lantern for a rather outrageous price, but I thought I would be generous and appease him. I spoke to him again, and he promptly tried to sell me something else! I couldn't say no to that either, but once that was over I immediately left. That little pickpocket. D:
Felicity was outside and requested a perfect fruit. I had no trouble finding one for her and she thanked me with a Washbasin. Then I thought I should make another trip to the museum and deposit my new clothes from Gracie in a spare museum room. On my way, I found Colton and he offered to sell me his Dynamic Painting for 7,056 bells. That was a positively preposterous price, but it was Colton, and the museum DID need one...so I was willing to buy it from him. THEN he admitted that the price was way too high and apologized.

GAH, isn't he just the greatest? <3
Even better, when I got to the museum and submitted it to Blathers, I found out that it was also real. Two new paintings in one day! Sweet.
As I was wrapping the last of my day up, Whitney ran over to me and gave me a Tennis Table, just because.
I never saw a trace of Chief OR Greta today...I surely hope they aren't somewhere hiding from my judging eyes. e_e
