Day 402

Hello, everyone, and welcome to days 402 & 403 of my daily adventures in Shizen! As expected, Redd had mailed me the moving painting this morning. To my dismay, it turned out that I already had the painting up in the museum. I suppose that's better than purchasing a forgery, though. Along with that, Tex had sent me a pair of funny glasses, which made my eyes look like as if they were from an anime.
Since there were no requests from the villagers, I got dressed, had my coffee, and completed my daily routine of fossil hunting, shopping, and watering my flowers with ease. It was time to search for insects! By then, it was too late to find birdwing butterflies in town, and the only luck I had at the island was by catching a monarch butterfly. It was worth only 39 points, putting me in third place, but I didn't feel motivated enough to bother catching anything bigger.
When the ceremony rolled around, I discovered that Sparro had passed my score, leaving me without a trophy. This didn't surprise me; I hadn't been very motivated at all to even bother participating this month, so the loss was acceptable. All in all, my first time without a first-place trophy, but I'm proud of my villagers!

I ended the night by visiting K.K. Slider and listening to his song, Spring Blossoms.
Day 403
I'd received no mail this morning, so getting dressed and having my coffee went by even faster than yesterday. However, today Gayle insisted that I play a good ol' game of Hide-and-Seek. I agreed to do so, and won a fan once I'd found all of the participating villagers.

The only other request came from Kitty, who wanted a perfect apple. When I brought one over to her, I was rewarded with a kiddie dresser. Afterwards, I fossil hunted, shopped, watered my flowers, went on the Butterfly-Discovery Tour, and then I called it a day.
Keep watch for future posts.
