When I started out in ACNL I went to all of my friends towns so that I could get every type of fruit possible but since out of town fruits all sell for the same I figure there isn't much of a point in having all of them. Then I learned about my perfect fruit (oranges in case you were wondering) and how it sells for more in a friends town. So I started with one and turned it into about 15 trees and I save the fruits up and sell them when I have a bag full of stacks of 9 in my friends town, as a result I'm really wondering if I should even keep the less profitable trees that are in my town. They take up a lot of time to pick, sort and sell so I was wondering if it would be a good idea to just hoard a few axes and kill every tree in my town that isn't a perfect one so that I can essentially replace every tree in my town with a perfect one to maximize profit. Are there any drawbacks to doing this to my town? It'll take me a few more days to get the axes that I need so no rush on replying but I'd like to know soon. ^.^

Well, perfect fruit trees don't spawn perfect fruit forever. Then they die and look creepy. It's probably not the BEST idea to get rid of all the other trees because neighbors also ask for different kinds of fruit. Especially when it doesn't grow in your town.

Maybe just cut half of them down if you're really worried about the profit. I don't think getting rid of all other fruit trees would be very beneficial.

Personally I woul keep a few normal trees and foreign fruit trees just for aesthetics and then have perfect fruit trees for profit.
just find someone who has a golden axe to do it, many people are nice and will do it for free.

The title of this thread made my heart cry. ;-; Nooo not the trees.

Perfect fruit trees die after a little while. And I heard somewhere that the more perfect fruit trees you have the more likely they'll die or something.

I wouldn't do this myself. I like having a wide variety of tree types and stuff in my town! I can shake furniture from normal trees! Dang I don't even think I used the axe I bought before.

It's really a waste of time to have perfect fruit trees. After several shakings they die horribly. I have a few trees of each fruit plus the cedars and bushes. Too many trees cuts down on bugs. Without trees your town would look a little sad.
