I only just went to collect the cute new bunny day furniture/deco items and that's it. Once I found out the DIYs and items would be the exact same as last year I did not bother playing it. Another thread I was just at was mentioning if the upcoming wedding season will have the same characters/items as last year.

Well I personally think thats a good thing. It will be interesting to see what they will do with the events they added since last year. They have to give returning players something to at least look forward to even though they did it last year.

It's a good thing. Any player would definitely appreciate getting new content every now and then especially if it's free. In this case, I am thankful that Nintendo gave us new items this year.

However, we need to ask ourselves this question. Is this what Nintendo wants to do in the future? We have to consider their business standpoint if these "free updates" will drive more sales. Unlike other games, players will have to pay for enjoying new content. Maybe they might consider turning this game into a subscription then you will have all the right to demand for new content.

In fact, this isn't anything new. If you played New Leaf before, Nintendo will eventually stop providing updates. I can't even remember when was the last time they did update the game.

My take here is not to expect anything. But if Nintendo ever gives us more new content, it's something we can become excited about. :)
