I just started a new island on my old switch after transferring everything over to a new switch. I linked a new account to a new profile for my new island but now it's saying I have to delete hhp. If I delete it from the new island switch will it be ok on the other switch? That's my main island so I don't want to mess that one up.

I'm 99% sure you're good to delete it, especially if everything is all transferred to the new Switch. I intentionally tried to delete my HHP data from one island after playing with it (on that same island) and it still remembered everything when I downloaded it again. So imagine that your new Switch should be tied to that data and be able to pull it up just fine - I think if you load up HHP on the Switch everything was transferred to, and if it shows up you shouldn't worry about anything getting messed up by deleting it from the old Switch.
