Desperate Housewives: The Game (2006)

So! I’m a big fan of the Desperate Housewives tv show. Since I found out there was a game, I always wanted to play it since I was a kid but I didn’t have the resources to do so until now. I recently bought a external cd/dvd drive and the game from Ebay. I’m a long time fan of The Sims franchise so that’s what really drawn me to the game and the chance at being toxic

I haven’t played much of it but so far it’s been enjoyable and entertaining.

Has anyone ever played this game?!
Did you like it? Would you play it?

oh my god I'm obsessed with this show and I never knew there was a game for it!! when I get a pc that's better at running games I'll have to check it out. from what you've played so far does it follow the events of the show or is it more a free sim?

It’s more of a free sim but with a story! It’s so fun to be able to play the new housewife with secrets on the lane c:

I think since it’s a old game, my gaming laptop with a broken graphics card is able to run it with no problems so maybe you can too!

I love games like this. Like a random TV show tie-in game that a whole 3 people are ever going to play. Especially when it ends up being like... actually kinda competent?

I bet I could find it on internet archive, take advantage of my loose knowledge of virtual machines to check it out. Does it follow a particular season or is it its whole new story?

I tried to download it from OldGamesDownload but couldn’t understand how Lots of references from the show but it’s a whole new story! What’s internet archive? I looked it up but don’t understand much haha.

Internet Archive is this super cool nonprofit site that archives a bunch of different media. Ebooks, CD-Roms, Movies- you name it. It's especially good for finding niche or lost media. It's fun to just click around and see what kinds of things are archived. It unfortunately gets hit with a lot of DMCA claims and stuff because we can't have nice things. And you gotta keep an eye out because there's a lot of inappropriate content archived lmao.

I like to go there to find CD-Rom games for pc- especially old kids games I wouldve played growing up! Literally something exactly like this game.

Thats cool to hear about it being a whole new story too. I've never watched Desperate Housewives but I know enough about it. It being kinda like Sims makes perfect sense, both for time period it came out in, and the kind of vibe it's trying to carry.
