What do y'all do to unwind from the day's drama and such so you're not a pile of frazzled nerves before you try to sleep?

I might currently be slightly drunk.

If you are in an anime mood I would like to recommend anything by Satoshi Kon that isn't a thriller. Paranoi Agent comes to mind.

I used to get drunk a lot, but I've been sober for 8 years now, and quit smoking 3 years ago this march. ^_^

I have anxiety, so there's no such thing (for me) as unwinding/relaxing.

I don't do it often, and I just had a hard soda tonight. It helped.

I abuse my phone to wind down, usually I'll play pocket camp and scroll through facebook... I know that's like the opposite of what you're meant to do but that's what I do before going to sleep.

I like to wind down by spending an hour or so, hunting bugs and catching fish at this magical place called Tortimer's Island.... *A*

I crochet, but then I end up staying up past midnight. I can't stop doing something once I'm focused on it, it doesn't matter how tired I am. Most things that are typically relaxing (ex. reading) will keep me up, so it's best for me to not do anything at all.

water my plants, do chores i've been meaning to do, cook myself some toast on the grill, sing to my favourite songs

Watch something that's relatively light, I've recently got into the sitcom Disjointed and I'm also really into the anime Ouran High School Host Club, both of which are pretty light. If it's close enough to bedtime, I try to read because the lights from the screens keep me awake.

After a long day, I shower and play games before going to bed, with some YouTube here and there, usually something funny. Food helps also lol.

Watch Netflix or read comics/a book. I also like to make playlists on spotify and sing really loudly to throwback songs but I only do that when my room mates aren't home haha.

play some sort of video game, hang out with my pets, watch tv, take a bath, or just listen to music until i fall asleep. and if i’m not working the following morning, drink hella wine. not exactly a perfect coping method but in moderation it does help me relax

(this thread made me curious so i revived it yeet)

play animal crossing, read, draw, write, talk or vent to my friends, drink lots of hot chocolate, take a shower and bath with bath bombs.

To unwind after a long day, I take a shower, play video games (Animal Crossing is really relaxing), read, watch TV or YouTube videos, or browse the internet. For a while, I was doing one of those adult coloring books, but I haven't worked on that in a long time. Pretty much any of those things relaxes me if I can just focus on what I'm doing and stop thinking about work and all the things that stress me out.

Watch what little TV I actually do, play videogames, draw, sometimes write (I unfortunately don't do it at all these days) listen to music and sometimes make jewelry.

Listening to music always helps me relax! I especially love Young the Giant and Explosions in the Sky.

Also, lately I've been watching moominvalley? And it's really nice and moomin looks very soft. I'm very excited for the episode when he finally gets to hang out with snufkin!

This was kind of to go with another thread from someone who was having a bit of a freak out.

Take a warm bath, watch a few relaxing YouTube videos, play ACNL, browse this forum, ..
I should really try to watch less screens at night though, so I'm trying to grow a reading habit too :)

I've been playing slime rancher before bed lately :3 it's so calming just seeing these cute bouncy slimes everywhere and shooting chickens at them for them to eat
