Did anyone else have the most PAINFUL char hunt

HOLY CARP! The char I swear to the Animal Crossing GODS is the most aggravating fish to catch. It's more infuriating than the golden trout! I literally caught two golden trouts trying to find the char! Finally after 100+ bait I caught it though. And now I have caught all the fish AND bugs up to date. BRING IT ON, APRIL!!!

Okay but ya, anyone else have a really terrible char hunt?

The Golden Trout is what's giving me the most trouble rn! I didn't prioritize it though since I have another month to catch it. I've used over 100 baits and haven't gotten one yet... Got plenty of Stringfish though!

the char AND golden trout i caught fairly easily on my hunt for the stringfish.. which took around 50 baits for me >.<

congrats! I caught my first char today while mindlessly fishing on an island for golden trout (didn't find one)
then later I accidentally sold it...

Char is so rare that I got a stringfish while trying to get a char. It's insane how rare these dumb things are. I went through so much fish bait T~T

I didn't know the Char existed until I was hunting for the stringfish. I spent 150+ bait on the stringfish, and I was able to catch 2 Chars while doing that lol.

I was the reverse. I couldn’t find the golden trout and I ended up using something like 150 bait before getting it. My friend is still trying to get the char, but she got a few of the golden trout.

I was in the same boat! Caught mine last night, but I fished up two stringfish and two golden trout in the process. At least got some good extra bells for them.

I had a terrible char hunt. Went through 60+ bait and when I finally caught one and went to Blathers to donate it to the museum, HE TOLD ME I HAD NOTHING TO DONATE. Turns out, I caught a char the first day or so I played the game, donated it, and then completely forgot. I spent hours catching a fish I already had

The worse part about all of this is that Char isn't even worth as much as more rare/expensive fish. I feel like they accidentally made the Char more rare than it should've been.
