Did you expect acquiring villagers to be this difficult?

Plot reset took too much effort IMO, so I never used it.

that's true, i wasted a lot of time for that huh. i just forgot.

i hope when the game is settled and the glitch is fixed, we'll be able to adopt dreamies online without worrying.

because right now, going to islands takes a lot of effort and tickets too. it's all luck, as usual in this game haha.

I think it is much more difficult if you are looking for very specific villagers on mystery islands, but if you are looking for just ones you like it is not too bad.

yes i agree. if you're looking for a very specific villager it would take hours and good luck. but if you could just choose from who you like & settle to move them in, it's not so bad at all.

There are so, so, so many villagers trades on the forum right now, actually. It's harder to find item trades amongst them all TBH.

Also another point is that the earliest 3DS versions did not come with amiibo capacity and the reader has to be gotten seperately/as part of a package, so for some people, it was not as easy as just scanning in the ones you wanted. You HAD to trade for them, there was no other way unless you could get a reader (and given how young some of us were at this point, convincing our parents to spend even more money was not going well). Switches can all do amiibo, though, as far as I am aware.

I like how you can put down and move houses, and can even choose which villagers come to your island. But I also like the randomness of finding villagers on islands or in your campsite and choosing to invite them or not. I think it's a good mix, even if it is sometimes hard to find that certain personality you're looking for (took me 15 tickets for a snooty...)

i don't even have a snooty or cranky villager on my island >,<
how am i gonna get dreamies unless i get all their amiibos (that's why i gave in, idk when i'm getting them tho because of covid)
