Agreed...also I hate labels in general....I wouldn't wanna be called an Otaku just because I watch a lot of anime or a metal head cause I like a lot of metal or a hippe just because I like a lot of psychedelic rock and colorful stuff and believe in peace(despite my hostility sometimes lol)...labels annoy me, it's just setting yourself up for being a "target" and putting another barrier between you and other people...

Lol, oh...no biggie...I just don't wanna be seen as "this" type of guy or "that" kind of guy or whatever...kinda' like in high school how you have the different cliques and stuff, I consider myself a social person(well more so than I used to be anyway) so would hang out w/ anyone and not have preconceived notions of who they are based on labels and stuff. But besides that no big deal...

I dislike and cannot stand "Weeaboo's", The misuse of the Japanese language and huge Anime obsession is really annoying.
We get it, you like Anime and stuff but calling people Kawaii isn't going to suddenly make you Japanese, What's next? Thunder is everyone's Sempai?

I mean, if you like Anime, That's cool because that'd make you an Otaku or something. It's when people try to act Japanese when they aren't!

I use to be one of those. Back when I was 10-12. Not anymore though, now that I'm 16; I'm still an Otaku of course, as you can tell from my username. I'll joke around with some of my anime friends about it, though.

I once gave my old DSLite to my (then) boyfriend after he'd lost his old one while at work. I later saw it in his apartment covered in coffee ring marks and dirt. I asked him if he had used it since I'd given it to him (months before) and he said no. So I stole it back.

He still occasionally brings it up wondering where it went and I just change the subject.

Also before the DSLite event I said he could have my old 40GB PS3 if I got a new one. After the DSLite event when I got a new PS3, I told him the old PS3 had broken down when really I'd sold it.

i watch a lot of anime and read a lot of manga, but the term "otaku" makes me cringe. the reason i avoid the school anime club is because the people there are well... yeah.......
