Discuss: What do you want to see be improved in ACNH

I don't think it was part of the gamecube game. As far as I remember, the houses in the gamecube game never changed. It was likely added in Wild World.
You are right! I just googled it, Wild World and City Folk both! I barely remember it's been so long!

I wish we could access our storage from containers..... I don't understand why you can change your outfit from anywhere on your island (so pointless!), but have to go all the way to your house to pull items/materials from your storage. I hate crafting so much because I keep having to run back to my house for mats.

Also--would love more design slots. 😭

As many un-realistic things are in the game. They still want to add a level of realism as well. I mean you can't just change clothing in real life anywhere from your closet. You would have to have your cloths with you in a bag (inventory) or maybe a magic wand. Wait, the game has magic wands. ;P

You get 8 slots if I remember correctly (have not used one in some times as the novelty has worn off) to store outfit sets. That should be more then plenty for any quick change you need. :D

As for materials. I don't think you should be able to access your home storage at a lick of a button. That defeats the purpose of having home storage over a really big inventory. I do like the idea of having storage boxes you can craft and place anywhere on your island. So you can access your home storage or have limited storage for materials or what ever.

I do agree with the design slots.

More design slots, bulk crafting, bulk buying, mostly quality of life improvements in the game.

WE NEED FROGGY CHAIR WE NEED FROGGY CHAIR WE NEED FROGGY CHAIR WE REALLY NEED FROGGY CHAIR

We need Kap'in back too, the game is an island theme, but has no exotic fruits, or tortimer mini games! The Dodo brothers could be friends with Kap'in's family!

If they're gonna force us to craft or repeatedly buy items, the durability meter would be great. I might seem ungrateful but it really sucks to have to craft your tools and even have the golden ones eventually break after years of just... owning tools, and only needing to replace if you cut your trees a lot or something.

Also, if the items come in other colors (clothing included) it should be customizable that way. They could easily implement that through the current system or bring back Cyrus maybe. It's a little frustrating that I have all this furniture, but would prefer it in a different existing color.

I don't want Animal Crossing to become a mini-game focused game, but I would love for them to implement more mini-games attributed to certain items.
I'm surprised they didn't implement something like Tortimer Island; I hope they do. It made multiplayer a lot better from previous titles.

Sahara's dialogue. Why is it so long and unnecessarily complicated. If you want to get everything you have to talk to her 5 times, plus another time if you have coupons. And you also get more dialogue if you get 5 coupons while purchasing all the rugs.

I don't even bother taking to her anymore, it's so frustrating.

Also Mabel's dialogue, we all want that.

I don't really care to change my outfit lol, I want to access my storage instead of my wardrobe when using storage containers placed outside.

In New Leaf, containers were used for your regular storage. And not only that, you could access your storage by using the lockers in the train station--both in your town and in someone else's! (Since you couldn't place furniture outside).
I feel like it would be very handy in this game, especially since it's so focused on crafting and outdoor decorating. I don't think they should have removed the ability to access storage outside of your home and replaced it with something useless like a wardrobe change when magic wands are a thing.

Did you know you are guaranteed 5 DIY a day with a possibility of more? Every day you can get 3 DIY from villagers, Morning-Afternoon-Evening. Not sure the exact times but 1 villager during those time periods will be crafting a different diy. Then 2 bottles every day on the beach. Morning and Night. You also have about a 50% chance to find a bottle on every Nook Mile Island.

As for cataloging items. Clothing is not that bad as new cloths every day at sisters. Furniture though, you can get (depending on how many trees) up to 2 furniture items from trees on your island every day. 1 furniture item on every NMT island that has non-fruit trees on them. Gifting an item (wrap it for more friendship points) gets you clothing or furniture in return as well. So that could be up to 10 new items for your catalog as well.

Though if you really want to go fast on the cataloging. There are lots of people who will let you catalog items on the forum. :D

Not having that much clothing is okay because there's qr codes available. there's just so many ideas I have I just don't have the items to do them . I could ask people if they will let me catalog but I feel so bad cause i can't give that much in return.

What I am about to say may sound like an arse statement but bare with me. Play the game. Again not trying to be an arse. I didn't have everything when I started. But, with knowledge (like I try to share when I gain it) you get more. You get excess or unwanted. You can offer that up for trade. Maybe not for the best or maybe for the best. You can offer to allow players to catalog your stuff for their stuff.

Figure out what you are looking for and want. Ask for it, not for free, but in trade some way. Some things maybe not but other maybe yes. You will gain things from them that others will later want that you can trade to them. It can be time consuming, but be worth while.

What I suggest is get organized as much as you can of the stuff that you can purchase via catalog and the stuff you can't That stuff you can't, keep a hold of as it will be rarer and harder to get. (this all may be "DUH" stuff, but I don't know your level of knowledge)

I use this site to make easy to view and use lists of all my stuff. From DIY, to every clothing type sold at the sisters, to rare stuff and even my favorite villagers. It is one of the easiest I have seen and I enjoy using it.

I currently have 21 different lists to help keep track of what I have. They are great for working out trades. They have every item in the game (as of current). You can even list specific colors for outfits of if you want a DIY or just the item made from it. :D Like here is an example of my current Dress Up List. This is a list of the dress up outfits sold by the sisters (like Kimono).

Everything that does not have a color next to it. Means I have the full set of them. Well it means I have unlocked them to my catalog and can buy them when I want them. 95% of the cloths on my lists. I don't actually have in storage cause that would be way to much. I tend to sell most of what I buy from the sisters. It is a HUGE money sink, but it's something I do. :D\

Well I know that was a lot. I hope it helps you or anyone really. Thanks for putting up with my long reply. Happy Gaming! :D
