Do flowers wilt?

Without the beautiful town/island ordinance, do flowers wilt and die like in New Leaf? I'd rather not have to water them all again, but digging up all the unwanted flower buds isn't great either..

Flowers don't wilt at all in AC:NH. You only have to water them to make hybrids.

Yeah flowers don't wilt in this game. Like Tom said, they're "hardy" to where you can just plant them and forget about them entirely and they'd be fine.

They don’t wilt. They spread like a virus though and covers your entire island if they go out of control haha.

No they don’t, and I’m really happy that they don’t wilt because I have over 2000 flowers on my island. I would never be able to water them every day.
