Do you 'decorate' your villagers houses?

Do you like to send your villagers furniture so that they don't do this:
Or do you just let them do their thing?
Personally I've always just let them be. But now I've gotten tired of it, so I'm staring to 'help them' decorate.

I don't help, I demand. I give furnitures along with a degrading message through a letter such as:


"Dear Chief,

Stop being tacky.​

-For your own good"​

I don't. Though I try to restore their houses.

i only decorated francine's house with the princess series. it looks sooo good might do other sets with other villagers. other than that i try to keep the others original as possible.

Yep! I either mail them items, only give them items that match if its in my inventory, or I'll put them up in Re-tail and push a villager near it until they buy it. XD

Yeah, I'm with you guys there. Villagers will turn thier house inside out if you don't help em out. Besides, designing their houses adds another layer to the game.

I used to, but I pretty much gave up since they kept selling everything. Plus I'm trying to get their pictures, so I need to give them bugs & fish

No, cause I don't really care how my villagers houses look like. I try to send them more furniture if their houses are like empty, but I won't give them any expensive furniture

I like to send them the exact same piece of furniture over and over so that eventually that's the only thing they have in the house. Then I like to sell them off to unsuspecting people on Reddit. I'm a terrible person.

I haven't ever messed with villagers' houses or clothing choices before, but now after reading how to - I'm definitely going to for some select villagers

No. Unless they're dreamies I wouldn't cause they will just move away with all my fancy stuff.

I just give them random things when they request a new item.
I don't regret it since they usually give me the item they replaced anyway.

Nope, but somehow their houses look amazing without me even trying. I just give them whatever, but within reason, and they put it in their houses. Maybe it's just a luck thing, or maybe it's because they have good taste.
