I mean you weren't doing it in WW or CF... I feel like I leave out some of the unwanted villagers. In CF you got the villagers you got and lived with them. Now we can get the villagers we want and leave the other ones out... But at the same time I like the ability to choose who I want. Sometimes I feel like I wanna go back to CF...
Any thoughts on the whole thing?

I've stayed far away from the trend of choosing villagers. I think it's a lot more fun to speculate which villager is going to move in next.

Hmm, yeah I also kinda like the idea of choosing who I want, but I like getting villager's naturally too. Of my town, only two were really dreamies. The rest just came on there own. Dreamies, to me, can be very stressful! So I didn't start seeking any until I was already deep into the game, and by that point, I'd mostly decided of my randoms who I was going to keep (ie most of them).

I was super happy when I found Ankha in my campsite as she was a dreamie of mine, but eventually I got so bored of her.

No I dont :D I love my dreamies!!

Also, I get tired of letting villagers move out because they will ruin the town I am working hard to design and finish by moving on a path or a space I dont want them too! Plus, they are called my dreamies because I love seeing them everyday, talking to them. I experience all the other villagers by visiting dream addresses!

that's why I don't really have any dream villagers, at least besides Egbert.
and that is why I'll never have a fancy super developed town, because I like villagers moving in and out.

I definitely have "dreamies" but the more and more I let people into my town I keep favoring ones that weren't on my list to begin with. Right now I have two of my original dreamies, and three more that I have grown too fond of that they've basically become honorary dreamies? If that makes any sense. This has happened in all three towns that I've gotten. When I just restarted my second copy I started with a great selection and instantly fell for Coco, and even though I was planning on having an all black crew of villagers I think I am going to have to make room for her, I mean she is still "halloween-y" enough to fit in!

Personally I think it's better this way. My only dreamie is bonbon and I was much happier getting her. Yeah the internet age makes the game easier and more exploitable hut I think that just adds more fun to it.

Being able to adopt them from people takes away the value of getting dreamies a bit, in my opinion. Getting them from the campsite or them moving in randomly is much more satisfying!

Yes, I do regret it, when because of accidentally loading Mayor save, they move on top of a hybrid garden or some other installation; not only do they ruin my work, but I also have to get rid of them, and cycle another 16 villagers till I have another chance at getting the right villager in the right spot.
