Do you care about only getting cute villagers and hate certain villagers for being "ugly"?

i do have a soft spot for the cute villagers but i wouldn't say that i outright hate any "ugly" villagers - if i end up liking them and how they interact with the others villagers then they get to stay!
i might have some aversions to certain villagers but it's mostly personality type more than anything

I've never considered any of the villagers "ugly". There are just hundreds of villagers that come in all sorts of designs.

Just based on some of the names that come up in the other posts in this thread, I think Hazel, Gaston, Bertha, and Tabby are all really adorable! Tabby is one of my favourites, and my favourite cat by far.

Not really. There are villagers I love that are thought of as ugly by some people, and there are villagers I don't like as much that some people think are cute. Which villagers are ugly and which are cute is subjective, so I can't even definitively say whether villagers I like are cute or ugly

I'm a bit embarrassed about this, but, when I first joined the fandom about 1-2 years ago, I only wanted my dreamies. Whitney, Raymond, Ione, Lolly... However, as I've gotten older I've returned to the game, and my tastes have expanded quite a bit more. There's only about 16 villagers that I'd never want on my island, as I like/love most of them. Do I still love my dreamies? Of course. But it's starting to feel a bit stale with only my favorites. Regarding the topic, some of my favorite unpopular villagers are Quinn, Mira, Reneigh, Buck, Tasha, and of course all of the kangaroos. My all time favorite is probably Sylvia. I've formed a super close bond with her and I love her to death ^^

I mean it depends how bad they look 😂 I definitely have more of an appreciation for the ‘ugly’ villagers now though because you just see the popular ones all the time. Sometimes it’s nice to have a villager that’s not seen often, and to me it’s more about personality than looks too.
