I'm a huge hockey fan, with my primary focus being the NHL, where I cheer for the reigning back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning. I also cheer for Canada at any international tournaments that take place (i.e. the IIHF World Championships, the World Juniors). Hockey was the first sport I fell in love with years ago and it's what helped turn me into a sports fanatic in the first place. It remains my favorite sport to date and I doubt that'll ever change. I'll always throw regular season games on even when the Bolts aren't playing and I always watch as much of the playoffs as I can.
Soccer is my second favorite sport, though I haven't bothered following club soccer in a long time and mainly just watch it at the international level for both the men's and women's sides. I cheer for Canada on the women's side (2020 Olympic gold medalists!) and on the men's side (they might actually be good enough to reach a World Cup now thanks to Alphonso Davies and company!). I've cheered for Belgium the past few years as well in the Euros and World Cup. I don't have any ties to Belgium or anything, I just like Eden Hazard and wanted to cheer for a team that's good and could potentially win it all, lol.
Aside from those two, I do watch some of the NBA, where I cheer for the Toronto Raptors. The fact that the NHL and NBA seasons coincide with each other means I generally only watch during the playoffs, though. I also cheer for the Blue Jays in the MLB, though generally I only end up watching the MLB during the playoffs. I also cheer for the Canadian athletes during both the Winter and Summer Olympics, though I do prefer the Winter Olympics over the Summer ones.
