Do you give your villagers birthday gifts?

I always look up their favourite style and give them a gift according to that. I always forget to wrap it though! I've gotten quite a few villagers up in friendship ranks by doing this. Plus, it just feels rude for me to not bring them a present on their special day.

Sometimes. I hate to say this, but I often forget about their birthdays so I always miss out. However, when I remember I usually go get them something.
Yeah, I've forgotten sometimes too. Luckily I tend to have something on me I can give them that I know they'll like.
I got an app recently for iOS (maybe android/windows phone too, I don't even know because I don't have them) that is basically a huge information guide and checklist. I checked off who I have in my town (and you can choose more than ten if you happen to have more than one town) and it'll tell me whose birthday is coming up next. If y'all want it, and I seriously recommend it to anyone who has trouble keeping track of things or just wants an aid in doing it, it's just called ACNL Guide and its picture is green with a white outline of a leaf on it.
I try really hard to give gifts to my villagers on their birthday. Sometimes I forget, and I frantically run to main Street to find the perfect gift. But sometimes I just don't feel like playing or I'm on one of my hiatuses and I just forget. But I try!

Of course! They're nice enough to send me a party invite, so I look up their favorite items and take over a wrapped birthday present.

Sometimes I forget their birthday was that day, but when I don't I try to find a gift they'd like (I don't usually look it up though) and I usually wrap it. Sometimes if I forget about the birthday but I visit the villager and am caught by suprise to see its their birthday, I just give them something in my pockets that isn't too important to me.
The most valuable birthday present I've given was when I gave a box of chocolates to Marshal.

I would never dream of not gifting them on their birthdays. I send a gift from their preferred list the night before their birthday, gift them again at their party and write a happy birthday message on the board.

Of course. I've had good luck getting pictures in return for giving animals good birthday presents, so it's worth the time to do it.

I usually give my villagers clothing they might not choose on their own.Sometimes they wear it right away and sometimes they don't.

Definitely! I try to wrap up something they'll like and also send them a letter the day before with another present attached as a sort of birthday card.

Though to be fair, I've only attended one villager birthday so far and that's Ankha's back in September, where I gave her a lovely Old Clock. Monty's birthday is coming up in 2 weeks though, so I should still do something equally as nice for him.

If they're my permanent dreamies, then yes! In fact, that's the only time of the year I actually give my villagers any present, outside of them pinging me any other old time for a fruit or something...
