I did one a while ago and had INFJ-T. Thought it aligned really well with myself. Did another one recently and had a completely different one which i think does not align with me.
no, because it reflects how you see yourself and that is often in your own head and heavily distorted and we lie to ourselves more than to anyone else. if your personality type can be used to justify personal feelings or is influenced by mental illness then it's especially not accurate. ones that account for how others perceive you, your actions and behavior over time, and are taken without the effects of a mental illness gone untreated are better.
they also aren't based on established psychiatry and no doctor is going to employ it to analyze you or take it seriously. they're self help tools based on observational data. professional ones even tell you it's not to be conflated with real doctor opinions in medical psychiatry practices.
Whenever I take those they never account the middle ground, even though that's usually the most sane option. I always get a weird, inaccurate result due to it.
I'm INTP-T by the way. The personality seems relatable, though not entirely like me. I'm not an extreme introvert though, but I do favor introversion over extroversion. I like my solitude and my video games.
I don't think any of them are entirely accurate, but I definitely can see why I score certain ways.
Like everyone else was saying, you can kinda manipulate what answer you want or how you see yourself
like, you could take the same test 3 times in a row and get a different answer every time
i feel like it would be more accurate if you had a best friend or someone who knows you really well take it for you instead lmao
I don't take them seriously and more for fun. Honestly, there were a few questions that I didn't get in some surveys so it probably explains why my results aren't so accurate.
No, they use way too random detailed things to determine what you are, honestly. Like what does believing in bot horoscope things have to do with anything lol.
Yeah, sure they can be fun for fun but I wouldn't take em seriously.
I take those for fun sometimes, but get a different result every single time. Personality tests are not to be taken seriously at all, as most results can apply to almost every single person.
I got ISFJ-T and I think it describes me pretty accurately, especially with my zodiac being Leo. I know your actions aren't defined by some supernatural force, but it's nice to have ways to describe yourself more easily to others.
Every time I take an MBTI test I get the same thing and it describes me pretty well, so I'd say that one is accurate sometimes. I think some personalities are represented by that test and therefore some people will find a match, but not all of them. Idk if there are any other major personality tests, but I'd say everything else I've taken was just for fun and not really accurate.
No. Personality isn?t easily defined & it?s very fluid. I don?t really think you can accurately measure it. Especially when a person is answering and scoring themselves. But it might be a good indicator of the basics.
Somewhat, I believe they can give a little insight on the individual. However, I believe that they are very dependent on the person's mood. It's like astrology, (and not JUST THE SUN SIGNS) it can give a little knowledge to others about their temperament, how easy they can sway moods, what drives them, etc.
