...and if you do, how intense is it? What sort of things pique your curiosity?

I recently got an account to DocumentingReality and I love it. Just going on there makes me so excited to know I'm going to see some morbid ****, to put it lightly lol. I don't even like it; it's just my morbid curiosity that grabs hold of me and pulls me in. It's surreal.

Can you explain more of what Documenting Reality is? Sounds interesting.

I'm not sure if this counts, but I honestly just love binge watching videos on youtube about murders, abductions, stuff along those lines and just trying to figure out what goes through these people's brains when they commit such heinous acts.

hm well everyone is curious about a lot of things but of course i wouldn't carry any extreme ones out
sometimes i wonder how much painful the most painful death would be, or how it would feel to kill someone or myself
and i also watch pretty morbid shows and documentaries its interesting

Idk if it's morbid but I kinda enjoy looking at tombstones when at graveyards and stuff. Especially those kid ones are pretty intriguing for some reason because who knew what they died from :/

Same. Graveyards are definitely a favorite place of mine just because I'm curious about causes of deaths, or even how people decorate their loved ones tombstones.

Yeah or what the people did in their lives and stuff.. Idk it just fascinates me.

im not really interested in stuff but i used to listen to crime podcasts and i read about stuff like that online sometimes but it's not like im super curious. it's just neat to know about things that have happened i guess lol

i think people w morbid curiosities can b...... annoying at times. some people just aren't in touch w reality and think it's a good idea to talk about exactly how people were killed in ww2 or to obsess over serial killers and terrorists as if theyre famous idols or something. a lot of people who are interested in The Dark Side of Things have no consideration for the victims or the people negatively affected by it when talking about it (for example by saying inconsiderate things, asking about things they don't have anything to do w just to jack off their brain, talk about how "interesting" they find mental illnesses and talking about weird and insensitive conspiracy theories around ppl negatively affected by the Messed Up Thing) and i think that's messed up.

...yes.
I'm into truecrime docs, paranormal stuff, and reading about weird/gross/dark things.

I have a kind of morbid fascination about what could drive people to take such depraved actions.

I can't stand to look at anything disturbing, from a visual standpoint, but I often find myself reading about terrible things. That being said, I'm often more drawn to fictional tragedy and grotesque things over real life ones, because looking into real life stuff makes me a lot more sad. I definitely like things like Buzzfeed Unsolved though.

That said, I don't really easily get along with others who like reading about similar things because a lot of people treat it like a fandom, like writing fanfic and drawing fanart for serial killers and stuff, which I think is really disrespectful.

It's essentially a website about death (pictures, videos, audio, etc), the "weird" side of life (such as anomalies and strange animals), and true crime.

Thank you for your response! I wasn't able to look it up yesterday in fear of what it might actually be, haha. I might check it out tonight though..

Nope, get that bad juju away from me and my family. Some people do Santeria and **** and im like get tf away from me.

I first read this as "morbid obesity". After misreading the "binge watching" thread as "binge eating", I think what happened to Marlon has now gotten to my head...

i have a very morbid curiosity and check up on a ton of gruesome stuff. i'm not a very grim person, so i think i use it as a kind of a reality check.

I don't really enjoy actually looking or even watching gorey/disturbing things but I am absolutely obsessed with true crime documentaries, docs about weird/strange things, consipracies, cults, docs about serial killers and the pyschology behind them and what not. however despite my interest in learning about these kinds of things i'm not sure if i'd say I had a morbid curiosity to see anything like it, I find it quite disturbing, but interesting to learn about morbid things.

I think everyone experiences that to some extent. I like watching uncensored surgeries. It's gross and super graphic usually, but interesting at the same time. I also watch a lot of crimewatch kinds of stuff where horrific unbelievable murders/ other crimes are discussed. I'm obviously not happy these things happen, but I like to know what happened once I see the title of the video.

Yeah, you have to pay. But it's not that expensive, even with my current situation (unemployed). It's only $13USD ($17AUD, which is where I live, but I only had to pay $13AUD, so I'm assuming it's only $13 everywhere).
