Do you do advent calendars 2024?

Year 2, Day 6 marshmallow advent calendar:

Apple Pie.

I was hoping this would remind me of our amazing apple pie wedding cake. But it was not to be. Not the best for sure.

Day 6 for hot chocolate was pumpkin spice. It smelled and tasted just like it. It wasn't overly strong and had a subtle pumpkin flavor. So I liked it!

The marshmallow flavors were nice. I liked all of them so far. Cotton candy and black sesame were nice. I looked it up online and people do actually make marshmallows and put black sesame in it. Kind of a weird combination, but I'd try it! It didn't have much of a flavor, but it was still interesting. I still haven't been adventurous enough to put the marshmallow in the drink. The one day I was going to, it was black sesame and I thought it would be nasty 😅

Yeah it didn't really remind me of pie...more like all spice? It still wasn't bad, but could've been better.

I wanted to this year but I couldn't find a chocolate Pokémon one. :(
Oh, I've never heard of that. Do they actually make chocolate Pokemon shapes? That's pretty cool!

So day 7 for hot chocolate was chili powder. It was alright. I don't mind spicy food and enjoy it depending on what it is, but it just didn't sound like something that would go well with hot chocolate. Wouldn't say it's a horrible flavor, but I won't be quick to try it again. It was mild and it only burned when I would actually swallow it, but then again that could've just been my sore throat lol 😅

Year 2, Day 7 marshmallow advent calendar:

Lemonade.

Pretty good! I enjoyed this one.

Year 2, Day 8 marshmallow advent calendar:

Horchata.

I’ve never heard of this flavor but it honestly was pretty good! Better than expected.

I just had it. It was really good! Horchata is a drink from Mexico (and maybe other places) that is made from rice, milk, cinnamon, and sugar.

Year 2, Day 9 marshmallow advent calendar:

Caramel.

I don't like caramel. But it wasn't strong enough for me to hate this marshmallow. Here's to tomorrow's flavor!

Year 2, Day 10 marshmallow advent calendar:

Strawberry.

The best smelling one for sure! Wish this and all the others had stronger flavor but it was still very good!

So I remember a thread like this last year and I don't think there's one this year. Since it's the 1st of December, I figured it was a perfect time for this kind of topic. Is anyone doing any advent calendar(s) this year? And if so, what kind did you get?

Last year Jhine got me interested and I picked up the marshmallow one they got last year. I also found a Halloween one by the same company and tried that out of curiosity. It had all kinds of Halloweeny flavors. I meant to post about it, but this year has just been really hard so I never got around to posting about it. I also found a hot chocolate calendar.

Part of me was debating about putting the marshmallow in the hot chocolate, but that might be nasty depending on what the flavors are and I'd rather not ruin both lol.

Day 1 for hot chocolate was salted caramel. It was really good! Although I was lucky I had barely enough milk. I wasn't thinking about that at all. I need to pick some up tomorrow.
Hello, yes, I am doing advent calendars this year. I do them every year, since I was little. This year I am doing a Moomin (which is a book series I really like!) themed advent calendar, which has little toy figures of the characters for each of the days of the month.:)

I wanted to share these goofy knock-off Pokemon from the calendar I mentioned before.
I tried to put them back in the order they came out.

Today was "Metagross". It's funny I truly never know what Pokemon is coming next, with an official calendar you could expect a lot of starters and the like, but they put Pikachu in the unceremonious position of 8th, so I think all convention has gone out the window with this one.

Year 2, Day 11 marshmallow advent calendar:

Cinnamon Roll.

The best one so far! The one that didn't mainly taste like marshmallow. Had a nice strong flavor!

They're kind of cute! Some of them don't look so off. Love them all lol!

I missed yesterday's hot chocolate because I was feeling unwell still. I had it this morning. It was banana and I could definitely taste a distinct banana flavor. It was ok, but it tasted like when banana would just seep into all your food. Banana tuna, banana chips, banana this banana that. Not a fan, but it wasn't so disgusting I had to dump it out.

Will try today's flavor tonight.

Year 2, Day 10 marshmallow advent calendar:

Strawberry.

I really loved the strawberry one! I could smell and taste it. Caramel was kind of subtle though so I didn't really taste it that much. Which disappointed me because I'm the opposite. I love caramel lol!

Year 2, Day 12 marshmallow advent calendar:

Cherry Cola.

Two days in a row with a great flavored marshmallow! This one is my new favorite by far.
I wasn't sure what to expect since the Halloween had razzberry and I was afraid it was going to taste so artificial like that, but it was very nice!

Yesterdays was mince pie. It was ok, not as bad as banana, but not as good as the others. Still was good though! I will try tonight's blend later.

I didn't know there were so many types of different advent calendars! I loved them as a kid, but they were always simple with molded Christmas themed milk chocolates.

I should say, I loved them until one of my brothers would give in to temptation and break into mine and eat all of them. I usually got a chocolate a day for the first week of December... after that... it was revenge for Christmas 😆

I do! I have a chocolate one I open every day and me and my little brother have been alternating with a Disney pop figures one. I get the even days and he gets the odds. So far it’s been a lot of Mickey and friends in holiday outfits and winnie the pooh figures.

I haven't bought an advent calendar in a long time, but I recently learned there are tea advent calendars....I need to get one of those next year

Year 2, Day 13 marshmallow advent calendar:

Pineapple.

This one was interesting. It definitely had flavor, but also had a different texture than the rest. Not too bad though.
