Do you keep ALL marked stumps?

I have all of the stumps now and plan on having that area as a mushroom farm. You can see it in my dream town in the upper right corner. Although I might need to update since getting the X. I want to put the log bench there too with a few bushes and trees. I don't have all of the mushrooms yet, but I'm working on it.

I kept the 3 I found in my town because I wasn't sure if I'd find any more of them because I usually never cut down trees They're not really important but my villagers sit on them more than my benches.

I don't keep all of them unless they look okay where they are. I have a handful of special stumps though, and they look nice!

This didn't work for me. I got a silver axe to cut down trees in my game and out of the maximum trees you can cut with a silver axe I only got one stump. I might try the gold then silver trick I only have 3 patterns and 2 are in the way. I wanted to try and regrow them in a specific area.

Are you sure they were silver? Because... That's kind of why silver axes can only be found on the island, and every silver axe I have ever used never fails in giving me a stump with a pattern every single time.

Yep I bought a silver axe from someone on the board. Cut down trees until it cracked and only got 1 special stump. All regular trees not palm trees.

Usually I would keep the stumps I get, unless it was just in the way. I had a couple of trees in the way and I ended up getting the musical note on one of them, which was great, but it sucked because I just didn't want the stump there.

Silver axe, 100% chance of getting a special design. I have never had it fail. Just be sure to use the golden axe (or regular axe, if you don't have the golden one) for the first 2 strikes, then switch to the silver axe. This way your silver axe will last longer. I love the mushrooms that grow around them also. Will be using some for the Harvest Festivale when Franklin comes to town.

This is so clever! I've been using silver axes, but all three whacks and they are getting worn. Thanks for the suggestion!
